"God I hate this company" I complain to my assistant Gina as she stands at my desk giving me some more paperwork."It's good pay though" she says with a shrug.
"I don't get a pay" I mumble as she obviously hears me furrowing her eyebrows at me.
"What do you mean?" She questions.
"Married into it" I say pointing to the ring they was on my ring finger.
All of Derek and I's money got put into one account so I basically didn't get a pay.
"So how is the sexy Derek?" She questions wriggling her eyebrows as she sits on a chair that I have on the other side of my desk as I regularly have people come into my office.
"He forget Valentine's Day" I say making her snort "but it's really good until he gave me a hickey"
"Do you have the divorce papers for me to fax off?" She asks making me laugh as she knew my hate for hickeys.
She wasn't really just my assistance she was one of my good friends that I could always count her, working together was just an added bonus.
"Thought about it" I joke as I finish up for the day.
"Do you want me to call Peter to pick you up?" She questions as we both get up from our seats and I grab my jacket putting it on and grabbing my bag.
"No, think I'm going to do some window shopping today" I say with a laugh as I say goodbye and start making my way out of the building.
It was good to finally judge to outside and do what ever I want which I haven't done in ages since I've been too busy with work or just went home every night.
I put my coat over my shoulders as the cold breeze lightly hit me as it started looking in all the shops that I have previously bought all my cloths from.
I excited one of my favourite stores my eyes immediately going over to a man who was staring directly at me, there was no doubt about that.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I turned around and started walking along the footpath with my shopping bags in my hands.
I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable as I felt like I was being stared at so I quickly turned around to see that the guy was on the side of the street I was on now and was still looking directly at me.
Which did freak me out a little.
I couldn't help it when me feet started going faster as I tried to get my mind off the guy who was probably just shopping like I was and just happened to make eye contact every time I looked at him.
He probably thought I was creepy for staring at him.
As I shrug it off I come up with an idea that I'm pretty sure Derek will be pleased about.
--------
I looked around the carpark for I finally found Derek's car in a secluded corner as I dropped my bags next to the wheel of his car as he was due to finish work in ten minutes or so.
I decided that since I didn't have the keys to his car I sat on the bonnet pushing myself up so I was leaning against the wind screen as I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and started checking my texts as I crossed one of my legs over the other as I heard another car in the carpark start and make their way out.
I was at the building Derek ran since I couldn't be bothered to call Peter for a lift and I was close anyone.
"This is something I could get used to" Derek's voice says as I look up from my phone seeing him walk towards his car as he loosens his tie letting it hang around his neck.
I smile as I put my phone back in my pocket and move so I was no siting on the edge of the hood of his car as he finally stops walking as he placed himself between my legs.
"You better not, it's hot down here" I say as Derek laughs connecting our lips as I wrap my arms around his neck.
"You could have just come up" Derek says his lips going to my neck but only leaving soft kisses as he makes his way up my jaw.
"I would have but when people see us in the same building they tend to freak out" I say as it was true.
Derek once came to see me while I was working and I swear the whole building thought world war 3 was going to start.
But turns out he only came to say hi.
"They can think what they want"
