fifteen

Today was my first day back at work since my outbreak and I knew I was going to get a lot of questioning looks from everyone even though the whole world probably knew what happened on the night of the gala.

Derek was going to the police today to try and find the person who did this whilst he advised me to just get on with my life.

Which I was going to do.

"Are you okay?" Gina asks immediately as she spots me walking towards her desk.

"I'm fine" I say giving her a small smile "do you have the files I wanted?"

"Yes there right here" she says searching her desk quickly before picking them up and holding them out to my which I take and give her a smile before walking into my office closing my door behind me.

There was a lot of paperwork on my desk as I haven't been to work in a couple of days so I got stuck right into it wanting to catch up as fast as I could.

"I think you should take a break its been a couple of hours and your eyes haven't left those pages" Gina says as she opens my office door poking her head in.

"I'm fine I just want to get all of this finished" I say giving her a small smile as she nods her head before closing the door and going back to her desk outside my office.

I was interrupted once again from my work as my phone went off my next to me making me groan as I looked down to see that it was Derek calling.

"Hi" I say as I put him on speaker so I could get work done.

"Stop what your doing and come outside your office" Derek says making me furrow my eyebrows as I look up trying to see out but I had blinds all over the glass.

"I have too much work to do I can't" I sigh rubbing my head feeling a head ache coming on.

"I will do the paper work I don't care just come out" he says as I shake my head stupidly remembering he can't even see me.

"No you are not doing it this is my building to take care of" I say not even making a move to get up.

"It's not good to do this much work in a day" Derek says "don't make me have to go in there and drag you out"

"Good luck with that cause I'm not moving" I say making him laugh as I could hear him moving.

"Not even for dinner reservations?" He asks making me furrow my eyebrows as it was no where near dinner time but I proved wrong when I turned around to see the sky pitch black.

I couldn't have spent that long working.

"Fine but only because I didn't realise it was this late" I say.

Just after I say that Derek hangs up on me making me laugh, wow he really didn't want to talk for much longer.

"Well aren't you just rude" I say as he opens my office door and closes it behind him as I start pilling the papers together so they had some order to them and weren't just scattered everywhere.

"You know it babe" he says as he walks over to me and stands next to my chair as I go to turn off my laptop.

"So where are we going for dinner?" I ask pushing my seat back and standing up and Derek was now right in front of me.

"McDonald's" he says pressing a kiss to my lips as I furrow my eyebrows pushing him back.

"Last time I checked you didn't need reservations to get into McDonald's"

so so sorry for not updating in ages I've just been super busy and I'm trying to update all my books today so hopefully I can because I've been really slacking on my book updates
