I give Bacon her food as she excited starts eating it as I throw away the dish her food came in.

"We have a gala to go to tomorrow night" Derek says as he enters the room still wearing his work cloths.

"Great, I bought a dress today that I desperately need to wear" I stat making Derek laugh as he probably doesn't care but comes around the counter me wraps his arms around my waist.

"I usually don't care when women talk about cloths you make it sound so sexy" Derek says making me laugh as I rest my head on his shoulder wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Why thank you" I say as we stay in the position for a couple of minutes.

"I have some work to finish" I say breaking out of Derek's as he gives me a nod before disappearing into another room which I was guessing was his office since he spent a lot of his time in there.

I sat at one of the stools as my laptop rested in front of me on the kitchen island as I opened it and put in my password.

After twenty minutes of work my phone started ringing next to my laptop as I picked it up to see that it was Derek which made me laugh since he was only a couple of rooms away.

"What do you want?" I laugh as I put my phone to my ear but keep my eyes focused on my laptop.

"There's something I need to tell you" he says with a sound of sadness in his voice.

"Why don't you just come into the kitchen" I say as I look out the screen doors at our backyard.

"Because your probably going to hit me or something" he says making me furrow my eyebrows.

"I highly doubt that but what is it?" I ask just really want to know since Derek sounded really serious.

"My parents are coming over for the weekend" he says making me sigh.

His parents defiantly weren't a fan of me at all. They thought I was a gold digger and only married Derek for his money which could be far from the truth.

They haven't seen me since Derek and I got married which made me wonder why all of a sudden they were coming.

"Are you still there Amelia?" Derek's voice says through the phone bringing me out of my daydream.

"Yeah" I say as I hear footsteps coming and I knew they were Derek's as he appears in the kitchen hanging up on our call as he puts his phone on the bench he passes as I put mine back down next to my laptop.

As soon as Derek gets to me he wraps his arms around my waist as I furrow my face in his chest.

"I have no idea why there coming, I tried to get them to stay in a hotel or something but they wouldn't budge" he says as I shake my head.

"No there your parents they can stay here you deserve to see them" I say managing to form a small smile on my face.

"Your the best, you know that right" he says pushing a strand of hair out of my face as he looks into my eyes.

"I know" I say making Derek laugh as I connect my lips with his not being able to help myself as his hold on me tightens bringing my closer towards his chest.

My fingers begin working on the buttons of his shirt undoing them one by one as I concentrate on the kiss going on between us.

"This is going to be our last at home together by ourselves for a while let's make the most of it"
