I sat on the window seat as I looked down at the street waiting for Derek's car as I had told him specifically where I was last night before we hung up.

Lily was still asleep making me sad as I really wanted to thank her for letting me stay for the night.

I looked out the window as a loud roar was heard from a car making me jump up from my spot when I realised that it was Derek's car.

I ran out of the apartment closing the door quickly behind me as I made my decent down the multiple stair cases that were in her apartment building.

I pushed the door open to the street as my eyes quickly met with Derek's as he was quickly walking from his car.

I didn't care what weird looks I would get as I started running towards Derek as he wrapped his arms securely around me when we met as I wrapped my arms around his neck as I couldn't help but cry on his shoulder.

"I've missed you so much" I choke out as I was so happy to finally have Derek's scent wrapped around me, did he seriously have to shower himself in deodorant before he came.

"I love you so much and I swear to god I will never let this happen to you again" Derek says as I continue to cling onto him.

"We should get going" Derek says as I give him a nod as I slowly bring my hands to my side.

"I have to say goodbye to someone first" I say whipping the tears away from my face as I turn around to see that Lily had beaten me to it and was now slowly walking towards me with a smile on her face.

"It's about time you woke up" I joke as she cracks a smile.

"Leaving so soon?" Lily questions as I give her a nod.

"Yeah, thank you so much for letting me stay at your house" I say as I give her a small hug which she returns.

"That's okay, but you better get going because you really do need a shower" Lily jokes making me laugh as we give our final goodbyes before I turn back around and start walking with Derek towards his car.

"She looks very familiar" Derek says with furrowed eyebrows as he intertwines our fingers.

"Please tell me she's not your ex girlfriend" I laugh just wanting to joke around with Derek instead of being serious and emotional with him right now.

"She's like sixty" Derek says loudly almost sounding like he was offended by the accusation making me laugh.

"Age is just a number" I sing getting in the passenger seat of his car as it felt so good to be in an actual car again and not in the back of a van.

"Also I forgot to give you this" Derek says as he begins searching in his pockets for something.

We were currently at the police station reporting what had happened to us even though I'm pretty sure the whole world knew.

I just wanted these people to get caught so I don't have to keep looking over my shoulder in fear.

I look down as Derek opens his hand to show my wedding ring making me gasp.

"How the hell did you get it back?" I question as Derek takes my hand and puts the ring back on the finger it has always belonged on.

"Let's just say there probably looking for a diamond ring on the ground" Derek says with a smile as I give him a kiss on the cheek before a police officer calls out our names and we are summoned into one of their interview rooms.

"It's good to see you two back, Grant has been updating me on everything that has been happening" the police officer says as he takes a seat on the other side of the table going through some of the pieces of paper in front of him.

"Good now let's catch these asshole"
