Even with all that was going on right now we still had to attend the gala that was happening tonight.

Even though it was the last thing I wanted to do.

I slipped on my dress as Derek was still talking to the guys he had invited over, I was slightly bad that I made his miss his big meeting.

I sighed as I looked in the full length mirror, as soon as I had gotten home I whipped off all my make up and I now had a full face of fresh make up on that I swore I wasn't going to cry off.

"Are you ready to go?" Derek asks as he stands in the doorway of the walk in wardrobe as he looked at me concerned.

He had said that I could just stay home with the guys who would know be monitoring the house and putting security cameras up but I just really wanted to be with Derek and if that meant going to this gala I'd do it.

"Yes" I say turning around and giving him a small smile as I walk towards him as she intertwines our fingers before we make our way out of the house.

After a twenty minute drive we finally arrived at the gala which was filled with paparazzi outside.

I looked out at everyone at Derek got out of the car first quickly making his way over to my side whilst giving the keys the a worker who would be parking our car.

Derek opened my door as I grabbed his outstretched hand and lifted myself out of the car smiling at him as I close my door behind me.

"I can't wait to drink expensive wine" I say making Derek laugh as we connect our arms and start walking past all the paparazzi who were quickly snapping photos and trying to ask us questions even though we didn't answer.

We posed for a couple of photos before making our way into the building that was filled with people wearing expensive cloths as they walked around socialising while holding a glass of champagne.

"Let's just forget about everything and try and have fun tonight" Derek says and I give him a nod as we walk further into the room.

I grab a glass of champagne as I look around trying to spot familiar faces.

"I know like no one here" I complain to Derek as we stand holding hands.

"That's why you go talk to people so you can know them" Derek says as I scoff like it was that easy.

After two hours at the gala I was actually having quiet a good time as I talked to some new people as Derek and I had spilt up half way through the party.

"Could I please have everyone's attention" a voice says as I turn around to look at the stand to see a fairly old man smiling as he talks into the microphone.

"Now is the time for speeches, so first off I would like to invite Sarah Detrain up to the stage" he says as he exits the stage and is replaced by a middle aged women as she starts talking into the microphone.

She finishes her speech as everyone claps loudly as she starts making her way off stage.

The guy from before was about to come on when he was stopped when the lights went dim and the screens that were all around the room.

"Baby I need you" the familiar voice says throughout the whole room making me want to scream.

"Then have me" my voice says as I begin backing away as the lights start going dim to full.

The screens all turn on the video of Derek and I two nights ago coming up as I shake my head as a few people look around to see where Derek and I was.

I thought this night was going to be my way out of this but turns out it was just following me.

I couldn't help it when the glass of champagne I was holding feel out of my hands smashing against the ground as all eyes turned around to see that I was there.

And that was when I couldn't take it anymore, I turned around not even caring that I was in heels and started running out of the building.
