Danny's POV

I watch Jessie walk back into her room shaking her head. What I wouldn't give to be walking into her bedroom---

WHOA, DANNY. CALM YOURSELF.

Okay. So. Umm. That happened. I shake my head at the thought and lay down on the couch and try to go to sleep, but naturally my brain has to come up with a thousand brilliant ideas for songs. Of course. After I stop thinking of song lyrics and scribbling them down on some random piece of paper, my thoughts start to drift towards Jessie...

I've missed her since the end of season two of The Voice. Her smile, her laugh, her voice...shit, I sound like such a hopeless romantic. But I've missed getting to see her and chill and have some drinks after filming. I've missed causing trouble, more often than not assisted by her. Well, trouble's not really the right word; it was more mischief than anything else. A small voice in the back of my mind tells me that I've missed her hugs, the feeling of us pressed together---

Oh, shit.

Looks like I've fallen for Jessie.

I'm awoken a few hours later when I fall onto the ground. I sit up, looking around. Where am I...? Oh. Right. Jessie's flat. I hear shuffling around, and soon enough, Jessie pokes her head out of her room. "Danny, what the hell was that?"

"I, ah, fell off the couch," I mumble, blushing slightly.

"You all right?" she asks, coming over to me. She extends a hand to help me up, which I take gratefully.

"Fine, yeah. My bum's a bit sore, but," I sigh dramatically, "I'll live." I flop down onto the couch.

She laughs, oh my God that laugh, and asks, "Were you ever in theater?"

"Depends. Do you count it as theater when you were acting to get your siblings in trouble?" I answer. "Because, if so, then yes, and I daresay I was damn good, too!"

She shoves me playfully, having sat down next to me. "Glad I'm not your sibling, then!" she teases.

"Oh, hey, that reminds me: Do you want me to call my sister and see if she can come look over Callie?" I ask her.

"Would she?"

"If she has free time, definitely. She might go a bit...ballistic...to see such a young child in such a poor shape, though, so you've been warned!"

"Warning noted! But she needs to be checked out..."

"Yeah."

"How about you call her after some breakfast?"

"Sure, sounds like a plan."

"Okay, then, I'll go get Callie up and explain what's going on while you make breakfast."

"Me? Make breakfast?" I question drily. "Do you want the world to explode?"

"Well, no, that'd be bad, but Callie won't talk to you so..." she laughs. "So just...try really hard not to blow up the kitchen!"

"Fair enough." I get up and put on my clothes (I really don't think Jessie would appreciate it if I was walking around her house in my boxers) before heading into the kitchen to start making some breakfast.
