Yay! Almost reached 700! Thank you so much guys! :D enjoy!
We continued to drive down the main road until we reached the offices. The black van was still following us but we still stopped the car and I got out in the dead of night. Knowing Sharon and Melanie would still be working I barged through the front doors, trying to sneak past the receptionist. She stopped me.
"What's your name missy?"
"I'm Jessica, Jessica Wood. I work here, I need to see Sharon Sharline as soon a possible!" I pressed her, pressuring her for an answer.
"No can do. Sharon is long gone."
My breathing faltered. "Do you know where she went?"
She nodded. "Sharon left about twenty minutes ago with Melanie."
My eyes widened. Crap. She'd probably have Melanie surrounded by a bunch of guards right now. Everything was so crazy. This couldn't be real. Could it? Everything was out of control. Beyond crazy.
Without saying another word I turned to leave but stopped in place when I saw Joe and the mystery man having a knockout outside. They were throwing punches at each other. Joe missed several and stumbled back but then kicked my hero to the curb. My hero caught his breath and jolted back up, knocking Joe out cold.
I ran out and gasped.
"Christ!"
"Come on Jess!" He exclaimed. I followed him to the car. Once we were in I buckled my seatbelt and faced him.
"So did you speak to Sharon? What happened?"
By now other men were coming out of the black van. One with piercing a and tattoos, the other with green hair and a dark, collared coat. Protecting him from his icy exterior.
"Crap!" I exclaimed. I realised that mr mystery hadn't spotted the men yet and instead of thinking I pushed my foot on the accelerator, feeling a rush of power.
Boy was I lucky he had started the ignition.
"AHH!" I screeched as the car accelerated and pulled out back onto the main road.
The dark figures hurried back to their black van and began to follow us. I could see them through the wing mirror. Their menacing faces looking down at me.
"JESS!" Shouted the mysterious passenger "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"
"Saving Melanie!" I exclaimed, a little lighter than I initially planned.
"What- you don't even know where she is!" He classified. He was telling the truth, partly.
"I know exactly where she is!" I exclaimed keeping my foot held on the accelerator.
Boy was Sharon going to regret messing with us.
