The blood that had rushed to my head immediately disappeared, and my vision went crossed with embarrassment. Luca was laughing, doubled over, and I could've crawled into a hole and died.

"Stop!" I cried, standing up and wrapping a towel around me, my hair sticking to my skin.

Still laughing, he shook his head and held the door open for me so I could pass him. Nose in the air, I stalked by him, but jumped when his hand landed on my ass. Gasping, on hand held the towel to my body, and the other covered my butt. "What was that for?"

Shrugging, a wolfish grin spread across his face, "I like to touch what's mine."

Eyes taking a roll in my head, I pinch my nose theatrically, "You smell, take a shower."

Laughing, his tongue shot out of his mouth childishly before shutting the door in my face. Smiling to myself, I turned and shook my head. Walking to his suitcase, I reached in and pulled an t-shirt out and held it up to my towel-clad body. "Too big?" I questioned aloud, before shaking my head, "No shirt is ever too big."

Pulling it on, I let my towel fall and contemplated grabbing a pair of his boxers or not. Chewing on my lip, I reached in and pulled a pair out, giggling as I pulled them on and found that even if I tried to wear them, they were way too big.

Letting the boxers fall down my legs, I stepped out of them, and danced my way over to the only bed in the room before flopping down on it. Sighing, I stretched my body out before crawling up and pulling the covers back. Luca's scent wasn't strong on the sheets yet but his shirt was saturated in it.

Pulling it up and over my nose, I breathed in and smiled contentedly. I listened to the shower run, and found myself being lulled to sleep.

Eyelids drooping, I curled into a ball and let sleep take over.

Luca crawled into bed with my sometime after his shower, but I slept through it. When I woke up I was curled up and tucked under his chin, his arm securely around me. Breathing deep, I let myself soak him all in.

With no shirt on, and only the boxers I had pulled out on, my mouth watered. Snuggling into him as much as I could, I kissed his chest and then his neck. A rumble sounded from his chest before his breathing changed. "What're you doing, kitten?" he questioned me, his voice rough from sleep.

Kissing his neck again I mumbled, "Enjoying you."

A small laugh sounded, and his arm around me tightened, "Well that's good. I thoroughly enjoy you, so I am happy the feeling is mutual."

I smiled into his neck, before letting my eyes slip shut again. The feeling of his body against mine, and his arms tightening around my body was enough to send me back into a well needed slumber once again.

My dreams were hectic that night. Things flew by fast, and bits and pieces stood out. Luca in the arms of another, Alessandro in the arms of Eliza. Me alone; no pack, no mate, no home, nothing. Luca and I together, standing over dead wolves, fire in our eyes. Alessandro and I, running after Luca and the unknown woman.

Tears leaked from my eyes throughout the night, and unbeknownst to me, Luca was running up and down the halls, scared to death.

The dreams assaulted me all night, and into the morning. No matter how hard I tried to wake myself up, nothing was helping and I was stuck in a living nightmare.

Multiple times I saw a depiction of war. Three times I saw myself lying dead, surrounded by wolves I knew and some I didn't. Four times I saw Luca and Alessandro with other women, me nowhere in sight. Two times I saw myself wandering the earth alone.

Fear crept into my bones, and I wondered for the first time since meeting Luca if I wasn't meant to have a mate. If maybe in some twisted way fate was laughing at me for putting off my wolf side for so long, even if it wasn't my own doing. Maybe the moon goddess was pointing at me from her seat with the other gods and goddesses and saying, "She will be my example to the wolf world."

My waking was no better than my nightmares. I woke up alone in the room, the night sky twinkling at me through the window. The world around me seemed too quiet, and I feared what I would find. Did my pack abandon me? Did they think me weak for not being able to pull myself from the nightmare? Did Luca leave me for one of the women I saw in the dream?

Sitting up, I cocked my head and pulled my fingers into fists. Still in Luca's shirt, I stood up from the bed and slowly moved to the door to the hallway.

The stench of blood floated from into my nose and my hand shot up to cover it. My free hand reached towards the door knob slowly, and I felt the cold metal heat under my hands. Turning it I pulled it open, and it was as if time was going in slow motion. The hall walls were splattered with blood, and at my feet was a body, blocking the doorway.

Shivers wracked my body, and I looked down the hallway to the end, where a man stood, covered in blood. Luca's body was at his feet, and I slumped to my knees.

"Hello, sister," the man said, and my eyes snapped from Luca's lifeless face to that of the man's.

"Sister?" I croaked out, not understanding.

The only answer I got was a cackling laugh, and the man began to advance on me. Eyes wide, I stood and stepped over the body blocking my way. I turned on my heel and started to go the opposite way, however an older woman stood in my way, blood coating her hands. "Hello, sweetie."

Her voice raked down my spine, and I turned wildly to see the man advancing on my.

Gasping in fear, I backed up to the wall and couldn't wrap my mind around the fact that the hallways were endless, and the bodies all the same.

Dream, dream, dream. This is a dream, snap out of it! I chanted in my head slapping my hands over my ears, and squeezing my eyes shut.

Sliding down the wall, I rocked back and forth, trying to pull myself from it.

Somewhere above me I heard my name being muttered, and a hand landed on my shoulder. Snapping up, I grabbed the arm and pulled the person down, and threw my weight into them so I was on top.

Breathing heavily, I allowed my eyes to take in the rumpled bed sheets under Sarah.

Her eyes wide with fear, I slowly took my hands from her wrists, and stared down at her. "Sarah?" my voice crack, and I ran a hand over her face, ignoring her flinch of fear.

Nodding, she tried to wiggle out from underneath me and I growled at her. She stopped and blinked at me. "Are you real?" I questioned her, running my hand over her again, before deciding I wasn't still dreaming.

Growling at myself I ignored her whimper as I crawled off of her and looked around the trashed hotel room. Confused, I sat down on the side of the bed and looked around me at the gouge marks in the walls and carpets, and the tattered sheets. "What happened?"

Cautiously, Sarah sat up, her hair crazy. "You shifted while you were asleep. No one could get through to you. It was really scary, Maya."

I nodded, "It was not the best of dreams to be stuck in..." A frown marred my face, "Luca?"

She blinked at me before looking away, and my insides went cold. "Where is Luca?"

"Maya, someone like him just can't miss the summit," Sarah said softly, and I nodded numbly.

"Get your shit and the boys. We leave as soon as everyone is ready."
