“And there he goes again.” Polaris whispered to herself as she brushed her milky white hair in front of her mirror. “Why won’t Manny realize that Emma tells me everything anyway?” Polaris shook her head lightly as she set her brush on the glass table. She hummed few notes and sat down on her window seat. The North Star looked into her mirror, which showed her who thought of her at that moment, and suddenly stood up. She opened the door just in time for a crying Emma to storm into her room.
“Emma! What happened sweetie?” She asked gently as Emma lay on her bed, crying. Polaris sat next to her and pet her on the head. She took her brush and brushed her friend’s hair.
“I hate Manny!” Polaris bit her lip and shook her head.
“You do not. You are upset with him, but you still love him.”
“Oh yeah, I totally love him after he denied me all rights to see my father.” Emma rolled her eyes.
“Excuse me? Your father, darling?”
“Yeah. Have you heard of Jack Frost?”
“Jack Frost? I do not remember hearing of him… Who is he?”
“MY FATHER!” Emma shouted as more tears ran down her already wet cheeks.
“Oh Piggy, I did not mean that…” Polaris started glowing nervously as she touched her hair gently.
“Does he know?”
“I… I don’t know.” Emma whimpered softly.
“Why don’t you go and see him then?” Polaris proposed as she watches Emma’s breathing calm down.
“Manny won’t let me.”
“That is silly of him. I’m sure he will let you if you talk to him.”
“He shouted at me.”
“Excuse me?!” Polaris raised her voice. Her skin was glowing brightly and her hair was static. “He SHOUTED at YOU and BANNED you from seeing YOUR FATHER?! Oh, Manny is in So much trouble with me.” Polaris stood up. Her glow was icy cold and the light in her room flickered.
“Calm down, North.” Emma put her hand on Polaris’ shoulder and watched the glow die out.
“I told you not to call me that.” Polaris sat down on her soft, white carpet.
“What shall we do then? You have to meet him!”
“I want to, but Manny is a little in my way.”
“Why does he have to know?” Polaris smiled at her friend.
“I can’t go without his permission!”
“Oh dear, grow wings and fly away! It’s thou life not his”
“He gave me this life… Also it’s ‘__your __ life.’ __your__. not __thou__.”
“Follow your heart, angel. I shall cover you here on the moon.”
“The only person, after Manny, who can let me through to earth would be the Kaguya Hime.”
“She won’t let you go. At least not now.”
“Knowing Manny he’s already talked to her.”
“It will take months, but I promise you will go one day” she smiled.
“Thank you, North.”
“Do not call me that.” Polaris hugged her friend and they laughed together.

Polaris and Emma were sitting in the kitchen a year later, sipping on their hot beverages. They laughed softly as Manny walked into the kitchen.
