She cried. Polaris cried for over two weeks and she felt lonely and deserted. She wished for Emma who would rise her hopes up, but Emma was not here. She didn’t want to watch her friends happy moments, so she ignored the blurry mirror that tried to give her signals. She felt that Emma wanted her good thoughts, but she was to upset to live through her friends life.

She didn’t go out of the Mansion for those few weeks and she knew that Manny was worried about both of the girls, Polaris and Emma. They were in trouble, but she didn’t care anymore. She wanted to live her life, now she felt like all her life she was in a cage. Manny lost her trust and She didn’t want to know him anymore.

She closed her eyes and wiped the tears away. Her legs were weak, but she managed to stand up. She looked at the mirror and shook her head.

“Do not show me anything unless is the mysterious man I tend to think about.” The mirror blinked lightly and the image became visible. He was there. His Black hair shined in the moonlight and his eyes looked up at the moon. He was even more handsome than she remembered. Polaris forgot to breath and she sat on the floor in front of the mirror.

The boy was looking at the Moon and sighed deeply. He raised his hand and pretended to touch the moon. He laughed gently and suddenly got sad.

“Why is the moon always so bright?” His voice was deep and mature. Polaris melted as she heard it and her heart beat faster. “Why cant it just shut and disappear?” He then turned to stare at the North Star. “A star of stars, guide of the lonely, guide of my kind. Why don’t you shine brighter than the moon?”

She laughed and her glow came back. She knew that he star just blinked to the mysterious man.

He laughed and his hand went through his hair. ” Twinkle twinkle little star,” he cheered up for a second then got sad again. ” Do you know that you are the only one who understands me? Sometimes the only one that I can talk to… Great, I’m talking to a star.”

Polaris stood up and touched the gentle surface of the mirror. I felt warm under her hand and the surface started to become milky where she touched it. She wanted to take her hand away but was to curious to move. She stared at the boy as he turned towards her. His eyes grew large and Polaris jumped away from the mirror.

“What just happened?” She whispered.

The boy was still looking at the empty space before him. He sighed and looked down.

“Who ever you are… I care.” He said as a shadow flew next to him. The shadow materialized and a boy stood next to him. He looked the same age, but his eyes were Black and hair dirty blond. Their features were similar and the new boy looked at the men mockingly.

“Who you talking to bro?”

“No one Link, just the air.”

“C’mon Shade you can tell me.”

“No one… Lets go.”

She watched the mirror calm down. She shook her head and watched her room change again. The walls and the roof now showed the human sky. She looked at the bright moon and then found her star. She smiled and the star blinked brighter than the moon for a second. His name was Shade.

A knock on the door interrupted her trans. She watched the door and let it open. Manny looked older than ever. He looked at her without expression.

“Emma is….”

“On earth.” Polaris finished his sentence and watched his expression became angry, then upset.

“Of course you knew.”

“I knew.”

“Polaris…”

“Is that all? If yes, please go.” She looked away.

“I want to talk.”

“Why do you want me to suffer even more under your words?” Polaris looked into his eyes to let him see her hurt and pain she was feeling.

“They are dangerous.”

“Everything is dangerous. Everything that would involve me and Emma not being under your gaze. You can not isolate us, unless you want to close me in a tower. I would find that very proper looking at our situation. I do not feel any more optimistic towards you than towards my killer, whom I had to call a husband once.” She spitted the words out at him.

“I never meant to hurt you.”

“You are perfect aren’t you? You know everyone, everything, and have a power over each living thing. You are not. You are a pathetic old men who tries to find rescue in giving others orders. You give life to make a use of it.”

“I’m sorry that you think so, Polaris.”

“I was grateful, now I hate you. You want to imprison me.”

“Imprison where?”

“The moon.” She whispered softly.

“I am not imprisoning you.”

“Can I go to earth then?”

“No.”

“Then get out.”
