Warning: slight spoiler. I mean slight, as in you weren't really surprised by this very much, and it's from Neverseen, so if you've read that you're safe. This is also a short one about Tam Song from Neverseen. I really liked his character so.... Why not? Don't forget to comment some ideas and vote! Thanks!
Sophie Foster was scared of the dark. Was, mind you. When she was in the Forbidden Cities (the human world) she disliked the dark for two reasons:
1. Everything was quiet. Minds and thoughts, they were still there but it was still eerily quiet and calm after constant pounding thoughts all day. Sophie hated it.
2. She felt like she was being watched. Not in a creepy way, but in a way that she would get paranoid by the dark and try and hide from it. Ella made it better though, just a bit more bearable. *cough cough Mr. Forkle cough cough*
The Lost Cities were so much more happy than the human world, she decided. They're was no crime (not yet anyway), no bad guys (again not yet), and nothing to worry about (I'm so sorry Sophie). The darkness was just darkness, and it had nothing to hide.
When she met Tam Song, Sophie thought it was interesting to talk to him. The way Tam carried himself, and controlled his powers almost effortlessly. When they became closer friends, she awkwardly admitted that she used to afraid of the dark in a casual conversation on day. Tam was shocked at her comment, and then quickly said,"I used to be too, but after I got over it, that's when I manifested. When I stopped being scared of the dark."
Ever since then, Sophie looked at Tam diffrently. In a way where he was brave enough to control the shadows he used to be scared of.
