Hello lovelies! I got the honor of meeting Mrs. Messenger a few weekends ago for her Let the Wind Rise Tour. She was very nice and I couldn't even talk properly because I was so excited and nervous. I got the idea of 'formal dance' because my school has one for the 8th graders every year and it was Friday. I am a 7th grader right in case you didn't know so I couldn't go but I'm not sure if I want to go anyway (I don't really like dresses and formal dances much). Anyway this chapter will be a bit of a new one, for you get to choose who Sophie goes to the formal with. Please don't forget to comment and vote! I love feedback! Read on!
(B/n = boys name)
"Do you like this?" Edaline asked, holding up a sparkly sapphire dress.
"I guess," Sophie answered quietly, giving it a weary look. It was way too sparkly for her, way too flashy. If she walked in the ballroom like that, she would never stop blushing from the attention.
"It's okay to say no, Sophie," Edaline laughed. "We can keep looking, but remember that the formal is next week. So you need to decide soon."
"I know," Sophie muttered, looking at her swinging feet. She laced her fingers together and bit her lip. "I'm just afraid that I'm being too picky."
"You just haven't found the right one yet," Biana added from the chair next to her.
"Okay..."
After searching the racks of flashy dresses, Edaline sighed. "Well Sophie, we've practically cleared out the store. Choose from these dresses."
"It's just better of I don't go, Mom. I'm being too picky and--" Sophie started.
"Nope. I need my wing woman to be there. Sorry," Biana interrupted her. "You have no choice. You're going Sophie."
Sophie repressed a sigh. She nodded once and continued to stare at the ground. "Can I just borrow one of your dresses, Biana?"
"If you don't fine any here, yes. But keep looking," Biana answered sternly, crossing her arms. She flipped her wavy brown hair and said, "Why don't you just go through Jolie's dresses? I'm sure she'll have one you'll like."
"You're right," Edaline agreed. "Go ahead and leap home. I'm going to shop some more."
"Sure," Biana answered, grabbing Sophie's hand and dragging her home.

Turns out that Jolie did have a decent dress for Sophie.
"Why does red always look so good on you?" Biana wondered as Sophie spun in circle. The dress was ruby red and shimmered silver as you moved. Sophie bit her lip as she noticed the short train in the back. "I'm so going to trip on this thing."
"No you won't," Biana reassured. "You look stunning."
"Thanks," Sophie blushed as red as her dress. She spun around once more, silver shimmering, and sat down. "Do... Do you think b/n will like it?"
"Of course he will."
"Okay," Sophie took a deep breath. "This one it is."

Foxfire had glow in the dark streamers and banners hung all across the school. The buildings were smudged with neon green paint with an interlocking F's, like when the start of the year dance thing happens. The pathways were outlined by sweet smelling flowers that oddly were pink and purple.
"This is a formal, not prom," Sophie muttered to herself. She tripped on her train. Again.
"What's prom?" B/n asked.
"Human thing."
"Oh. Tell me about it later, okay?" He slipped his hand in hers.
Then Sophie realized that this probably was their prom. They didn't have the cheesy Sadie Hawkins or Prom Night or the normal middle school Formal. This made things a lot more stressful. Especially that she was here which her crush.
"Um, do you--" Sophie started but got cut off by a sparkly Biana.
"Hey Sophie!" Biana smiled, showing her flawless teeth and perfectly colored lips. Her dark wavy hair was pulled back with two strands, and her teal dress perfectly matched her eyes. "You're so pretty tonight, Sophie."
Sophie tried not to think that she didn't look pretty everyday but dismissed the thought. "Thanks. You as well."
"I just wanted to say hello," Biana said, glancing at your date quickly. "See you later."
"Bye," Sophie said in a small voice. She then blushed and silently squeezes his hand. "Let's get going."
It was nice to know she was a wing woman and was depended on. She liked the fact that she also had a girl to lean on, that is, if she ever needed one.
