Pain In My Side

I got up but fell right back down as pain erupted from my side. Nico was at my side trying to help me back up. His face was filled with worry. "Alex, what's wrong?"

"I don't know." I said with pain in my voice. It was on my right side where I was cut two weeks ago. Nico helped me to my feet and we walked to the infirmary where Will was.

"What happen?" He asked.

"I don't know. Alex fell down in pain." Nico said as I couldn't talk because my eyes were closed because of the pain.

"Lay him down on one of the beds." Will said and I felt Nico set me down on one of the beds. I laid down as the pain grew more. I gritted my teeth in pain. "Where is does it hurt?"

I moved my hand to my right side. I felt someone lift my shirt up so I moved my hand. I heard a gasp which I thought meant that it wasn't good.

"Nico go grab Chiron and Percy." Will said and I thought it sounded urgent. I heard footsteps run out of the door. I heard a scream then I figured out it was mine. Soon enough my whole body felt like it was on fire. I felt something go around my wrists and ankles and soon enough darkness over took me.

Percy POV

I was sitting with Annabeth when Nico came running.

"Percy, its Alex!" He yelled and I saw him run off to Chiron. I quickly got up and started to run to the infirmary. I knew Annabeth didn't follow me but I did see that Nico and Chiron were running to the infirmary as well. We burst through the door and heard a scream that I recognized as Alex screaming. As we all got closer we saw that Will was putting restraints on Alex.

"What happen?" I said going closer to Alex.

"Ask Nico, he's the one that brought Alex in." Will said and then I saw that Alex started to relax. I know he was out cold from all the pain.

"Nico, what happen?" I asked looking at him.

"We were just chatting and we were heading for lunch when Alex fell to his knees in pain." Nico said looking at me.

"There's something else." Will said. Will lifted Alex's shirt up a little bit and we saw black smoke coming out of the scar that was on his right side. I thought back to when we saved all those demigods and him. He had a wound that Kronos minions inflected on him.

"What the hell is that?" I asked.

"I have never seen anything like this." Will said.

"Nor have I." Chiron said. Then one word crossed my mind. Kronos.

"Kronos. He did this when we rescued all those demigods. His minions must have done something. The witch said something about that Kronos wanted Alex and me." I said realizing that this was Kronos' magic.

"What do you mean Percy?" Chiron said.

"I'm saying that Kronos is trying to rise and he wants to use me and Alex." I said. Then I saw Alex opened his eyes.

"Where am I? Why can't I get up?" I saw that Alex was panicking.

"Alex. It's going to be alright. Just relax." I said but he was trying to get out of the restraints.

"We need Piper." Will said and the Annabeth walked in with Piper.

"I figured you might need us." Annabeth said. Alex started to thrash around and Piper ran over to Alex. She started to say soothing words into his ear. We saw him start to calm down and soon he fell asleep. Piper walked over to us.

"Thank you Piper." I said and she nodded.

"You guys go get something to eat. I will stay with Alex for a little bit. Just to make sure he's okay once he wakes up." Nico said. I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Are you sure Nico?" I asked him. He nodded and we all left to go get some lunch. That's when rumors started going around about Alex. One of the new campers came up to me.

"Is he dangerous?" He asked.

"No he's not so stop spreading rumors." I said getting a little mad. I felt Annabeth put a hand on my shoulder. I looked at her and I calmed down a little.

"I think we should kick him out of the camp." The same guys said but a lot louder. Then everyone stood up including me and we all agreed. I shook my head and snapped out of the trance I was in. I knew that he was now a son of Aphrodite. I saw that everyone was headed for the infirmary which was where Alex was. I pushed past everyone. I had to get to Alex before something happened that was worse than it is now. I left Annabeth behind since she was in the trance as was everyone else but me that new guy and anyone who was not in the mess hall area.
