Valerie's P.O.V.
*Flashback* Joel had kissed me and I gave in and kissed back. After that it was very awkward and I left. He said he would call and text. *End of flashback*
For the past few days Joel had been calling and texting numerous times but I never answered or replied. I wish I did but it was hard for me. First I wouldn't know what to say and second I was constantly working. As I worked I would always think of the kiss and I would get distracted. I've been getting distracted way too much that I would fall behind on work. Someone knocks on the door and enters. I see a very happy Monica walk in. Monica: "Hello, it's me! I was wondering if you would like to know about your lover? Lets go over, everything. They say that time flies by and it does. Hello, can you here me? I'm right in front of you dreaming about how you and Joel would make a cute couple. You are young and free." I laugh at when she tries to sing and change the lyrics to the song. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has a friend who changes the lyrics. Valerie: "Alright Monica spill it. What do you want to talk about?" See when Monica has something important she'll sing and changes the lyrics to the song. She ran and sat next to me. Monica: "Well you see I saw Joel in the lobby and we talked. He seems to care about you a lot. He asked me how you were and why you weren't answering him. Don't worry I told him the truth. That you are busy working. Pero por Dios niña talk to him! I don't understand what he did to you for you to just stop talking to him. Val he seems like a very nice guy and I just want to see you happy." I just need to tell her what happened. Without me knowing it I tell her. Valerie: "Joel and I kissed." Her jaw drops. Monica: "What? When? How come you never told me? Is that why you have been acting up like this? Valerie I thought you trusted me. Wait wouldn't that be your first kiss? Val-" before she could say anything else I interrupted her. Valerie: "Calmate and when I was thanking him and saying bye he kissed me and I kissed him back and when I left things were just so awkward. Yes I do trust you and yes it's my first kiss." Monica: "Omg tell me the details. Is he a good kisser?" Valerie: "Monica! I am not telling you the details but yes he's a good kisser." Monica: "You're thinking of him aren't you?" Valerie: "What? No!" Monica: "Then why are you blushing? I know for sure that I don't make you blush. Not anyone. But I've seen you blush around him and that's it." Truth is I was thinking of him but was it that obvious?
I decided to take a break from all this working and go to the last show of La Banda. I'm so happy that Joel made it in but sad that Yoandri didn't. I know he'll make it far in his singing career and I'll be here supporting him. The boys band name was announced and I like it. CNCO, not bad at all. As the boys sang Joel and I made eye contact. I smiled at him and he smiled back. As the show ended I left quickly because I had a full schedule the next day and I haven't slept.
3 days later...
As the days passed by all I've heard was CNCO and it made me happy in a way. As I got up from bed I did my daily routine and got dressed. I decided to have breakfast in a nearby restaurant with Monica. As we made our way down to the lobby I crashed into someone. Valerie: "I'm sorry I should have watched where I was going." I looked up to see those dark brown eyes. It was him. Joel: "It's okay, I'm actually glad that you crashed into me." Huh? Joel: "I've been meaning to talk to you." I didn't realize that the last part I said it out loud. Valerie: "I'm sorry but I have been busy lately." Joel: "Yeah I know but also I made things weird between us and I get it if you don't want to speak." Valerie: "No, it's not that I-" I was cut off. Joel: "Look Valerie I understand but right now I really have to get going. Umm... We could talk later and it was nice seeing you again. Bye." He walked away. I never really thought of how busy he would be. More importantly how he would have changed over night. Hmm... who knows maybe this was only a one time thing. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten attached to him. Maybe I shouldn't have fallen for him.
Double the update! Anyways Ana and Yamileth if you guys are reading this I was totally joking about updating until March 5th and no way am I ending the story quite yet! This story has a long way to go. Anyways please vote and comment so I could update soon again. Hope you guys enjoyed!
