Valerie's P.O.V.
After that little incident where Joel just basically left I haven't heard anything from him or have seen him.
Some days passed.... Monica and I were eating and as we were talking I saw some boys walk in. Guess who it was? You know already so why even ask. Christopher, Zabdiel, Richard, Erick, and my favorite one JOEL! I roll my eyes and forgot that Monica was in front of me talking. Monica: "Why'd you roll your eyes? Did I say something wrong?" I look at her a bit confused. Valerie: "Huh? No you didn't say anything wrong." I look back at the boys. Monica notices and looks back as well. Monica: "Oh.. I see now. Come on let's go we have a lot of work that needs to get done." Working has honestly helped a lot. For a while I forgot about Joel until today that I saw him. Before I leave Miami I need to finish up somethings here first. As Monica and I walked by where they were sitting Joel and I made eye contact. He smiled at me but I just looked away and pretended that he was a stranger. Well we were becoming strangers so I guess that it was okay for me to call him a stranger don't you think?
The days were going by so fast that I had been forgetting to eat on some days due to the fact that I've been busy. Luckily I have my best friend by my side and helping me out in everything. My phone vibrates and I get scared. I basically threw my phone on the ground on accident. It's not the first time that I do it and it won't be the last. I pick it up to see that I have a message from an Joel. I open it but I shouldn't of have.
Joel: Hey, umm.. it's Joel. Can we talk?
Valerie: Uh, hey and I guess so.
My phone begins to ring and I answer. Valerie: "Hello?" Joel: "Hi" I barely heard him because it came out like a whisper. Valerie: "Umm.. how may I help you?" Joel: "Val, I just wanted to fix things between the both of us because I don't like being like this with anyone especially you." Valerie: "It's okay, it doesn't really matter." Joel: "It does matter because I want to get to know you. I thought that maybe we could have been best friends." I really didn't know what to say. My mind felt empty but in reality there were so many things going through my head. Valerie: "Joel it's really okay." Joel: "Alright well to make it up to you would you like to maybe hang out sometime?" There was to much hope in his voice. Valerie: "I don't know if I'll be able to. I have a lot of work that I have to get done before I leave. Oh and also I need to start packing." Joel: "Your leaving?" Once again I wasn't able to hear him because it came out like a whisper. Monica came in and started yelling. I couldn't quite understand her. Valerie: "Hey Joel do you mind if I call you later? I have to go." Joel: "Uh yeah sure." With that I hung up and tried to get Monica to calm down. She wouldn't calm down so I decided to grab my water bottle and pour out the rest of the water that was in there on her. Valerie: "Better?" Monica: "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Valerie: "First of all don't yell at me, second you came in here acting like an animal and wouldn't calm down and third I was on the phone with someone. Now if you still feel like yelling please do me a favor and get out because I'm not dealing with your bullshit today." She gave me a surprised look. If you talked like this to her she would go off on you and the same thing would happen if you talked to me like that but I never talked to her like that and she was really surprised. Monica: "I'm sorry but guess what?" Valerie: "What is it this time?" Monica: "Well you know how we leave in a few days?" I nodded and she continued. "Well we get to come back after you go do whatever it is that you are doing." I smiled and thought about how I'll actually get sometime to spend with Joel but the thing is how long will he be here for? Wouldn't he be on tour?....
