We get in the car, Quinn in the passenger seat. I start driving, making my way carefully to her house. We pass abandoned cars, dead bodies, or presumably dead bodies.

"Are you okay?" I ask her gently. She doesn't answer. Just keeps looking straight ahead. The silence lasts for five minutes. I start daydreaming, thinking of my brothers and my parents. My brothers are only eleven, twins. I begin to feel a burning sensation in my stomach. Quinn just sits there, staring at me. Then she begins to cry too. I pull the car over, wiping my eyes on my dirty shirt. Quinn doesn't stop crying, she has head between her hands, facing away from me. I begin to drive again, this time overspeeding.

She turns around. "I'm sorry." Her eyes bright yellow. Like the werewolves from that stupid vampire television show. She starts convulsing. She growls, throwing herself on top of me. I flick my arms on the wheel, sending the car over the mountain edge.
