Camila's POV

"Hurry the hell up!"

I swallow hard as I take a careful look at the bruised skin right under the lobe of my ear, running my fingertip slightly over the two teeth marks gently. I hiss slightly softly as Dinah continues to knock against the bathroom door, feeling the cut sting harshly.

"I'm coming!" I sigh, readjusting my air to my sides so my dark curls fell over my neck naturally to hide the large teeth mark that marked my neck permanently. The bruise itself was becoming a bit darker and more visible through my marked skin, and it was making it harder to cover up.

I wrap my hand around the doorknob and pull once I look presentable, coming face to face with an annoyed Dinah who stood in front of two amused girls. "You always hog the bathroom, Camila. Next time try to hurry up?"

I roll my eyes and ignore the slightly stinging pain that came over when Dinah playfully slaps my neck, unintentionally missing my the side of my head. I don't cover up my wincing too quickly and Dinah notices, raising an eyebrow with narrowed eyes.

"What was that?" I can hear the wonder in her voice as her eyes trail down over my neck, Mani and Ally begin to walk over to inspect the incident themselves. I feel my cheeks heat up and I roll my eyes, "Nothing, now go shower. We have an hour till class begins."

Dinah raises and eyebrow, glancing at both girls with a small nod. "Hickie check!"

"Hey!" I whine as I feel both girls behind me take one arm each roughly, holding my arms against my sides tightly as Dinah wrapped by hair up in one hand. The Polynesian narrows her eyes into the skin of my neck and her eyes wander around my neck with a confused frown.

I sigh and prepare for her to yell at me for now telling her about the two canine teeth mark, sunk over my neck in a rosy colored bruised. But Dinah only lets my hair go with a small shrug, shaking her head for the girls to let me go. "Nope, she looks fine. Neck as clear as a babies bottom."

I open my mouth to protest and turn to look at Ally and Normani, who glance themselves and nod as well. I reach over run my fingertips over the bruise and my eyes widen a bit as I feel the small bumpy feeling and small sting, letting me know that it really was there.

I furrow my eyebrows and watch as Dinah closes the door behind her to get ready. I then turn to look at Normani who leans against the stairs railing, "You didn't see the bite?"

"The bite?" Normani trails off as I nod, raising an eyebrow before shaking her head. "No...there's no bite. What do you mean?"

"Nothing, don't--don't worry about it," I give her a small grin and shake my head stiffly, noticing the suspicion on the girl's features. Mani walks off down the stairs with one last weird glance behind her shoulder and once she's out of sigh, I let out a small deep breath.

I give the bruise on my neck one last feel with the pad of my thumb and frown. I was certain that the bruise that the wolf marked me with was still there and clearly visible, but they couldn't see it? I sigh softly and turn to look at the bathroom door once more, trying to shake the thought out of my head.

I decide to head downstairs once I'm completely ready, wanting to eat breakfast before heading off to school in an hour. I reach the bottom stairs and look into the kitchen to see Ally and Normani chatting softly among themselves as they eat.

"Hey, Camila?"

As I pour cereal into my glass bowl, I turn to look at Ally who wearily watches the television with a concerned look on her face. Normani also looks interested in what was playing and I turn to look myself, not surprised to see my father speaking to a news reporter live.
