Camila's POV

"That wasn't so bad," I murmur to my left, where Ally sat next to me with a short smile. The smaller girl nods and looks over at both adults eyeing us with no shame, who seem to have only nod to anything we had to say. I was just as shocked when they didn't introduce themselves, they just smiled at me before walking off to congratulate Lauren on 'picking wisely'.

Part of me was actually expecting this kind of reaction considering all of Lauren's siblings were typically the same, I was sure their parents weren't any different. Despite the fact that Lauren had mentioned they were only five siblings in total, I had also noticed a girl behind the pair I had met today.

"My parents are really quiet," Chris murmurs beside me, Alex nodding as well from beside me. I nod and look over at Ally strangely, not surprised but still a little unsettling since both were old enough to understand my situation.

"Why?" I meet Alex's pale blue eyes.

"They've been that way ever since my uncle and aunt died, which were both an important part of my family." She shrugs, chewing into her bottom lip. "Not even their daughter was too affected by it, but my parents were left with more responsibilities."

"Is that her?" I turn to look at the petite girl who seems to be staring at her hands with such an intimidating expression that I'm almost too scared to stare and meet her eyes. My eyes flicker over her calm expression and I notice the way her hair falls over one side of her face, curled to perfect in hazel locks close to honey. The girls eyes were a smooth color of a shallow ocean greenish, light like the sky but also dark like the depths of an ocean, yet there was this hint of light green swirling through them like the color of a new born leaf. The color of her skin was a very healthy pale that was complimented with a shade of color by the plump pink lips pouted into a frown. She was just as flawless as the rest of the Jauregui family.

"Yeah, that's her

"Yeah, that's her." Chris nods, sparing her a single glance before looking over at me. "That's Lexa Jauregui, the outcast."

Alexandria smacks the boy's arm and shakes her head, looking up at Lexa and smiling softly. "She's not an outcast, she just hates people. It's really rare for her to like a new person...and despite her tough exterior, she's a very kind person."

The two youngest Jauregui siblings nod and the statement and I look over at the quiet girl, noticing the way her eyes would look my way but she would never fully look over at me. It was like she could sense my eyes on her but she didn't really want to look up at me.

"Does she not talk to anyone?" Ally speaks up quietly from next to me and the first to answer is Alexa, who nods over to Lexa.

"That one loves Lauren's company." I look over and just in time, Lauren walks over and sits down next to the other green eyed girl. I watch them both interact and find myself interested in the way Lauren spoke with her hands, lips twitching up momentarily before the smaller girl besides her laughs softly and the sound surprises me.
