Camila's POV

My palms are sweaty, my knees are shaking. I can barely walk on both my tired feet, and my heart beat is what's letting me know I'm alive and still breathing. My vision is pitch black from what I can tell; and I can barely keep my eyes open with a cloth over my face, keeping me from the horrid place these people walked me to.

"Keep still,"

I can still hear poor Ally struggle next to me as she grips my hand, hers not letting go and mine sharply tightly holding onto for dear life. It had only been about ten minutes and my body was already starting to fail me for some reason.

The thought of what was to come to Ally and I was a tremendous worry, and the fact that these people kidnapped us wasn't changing my point of view so far. How dare they believe that kidnapping me from my own home was going to change my point in trusting them?

"This isn't helping your case, you know." I comment, turning to look into the direction of heavy breathing and loud footsteps. All I hear is a small sigh and I swallow hard, wanting badly to meet the expressions of both my best friends. "Why didn't you guys ever tell us about this?"

Only then is when the rag over my head yanked off, my eyes adjusting to the dim light of the moon as I look to my side, being greeted by Dinah's stern facial expression. "We'll answer your questions when we get to the camp."

"No," I answer loudly, desperately trying to free myself from her tight grip. "I will not stand here, being pushed into something with no explanation, whatsoever. Tell me, Dinah. Now."

That seems to annoy Dinah further on because she grips my arm tighter and her eyes narrow into slits as they meet mine, the girl stopping abruptly along with Normani beside her. "You wanted us to meet with those sick pups, now you'll have to wait."

"I can't believe you," I shake my head with a humorless chuckle. "We're supposed to be best friends. How come you guys never told Ally and I?"

Dinah only scoffs and grips my arm again, continuing to lead us both down a dirty hill, down the edge of a small creek. I try to calm my breathing as both girls glance at each other, the disgusted look on their faces telling me that we were near the Jaureguis.

"They're here," Normani sighs. "They actually decided to show up...what a surprise."

"Paws?" Dinah calls out loudly, her eyes roaming over the darkness that lingered in the tall trees around us. I struggle out of Dinah's grip and she let's me go with a small sigh, the girl removing the rope trying my hands together.

I rub both my wrists and as soon as I have the chance, I grab Ally's hand in mine and comfort he with an arm around her shoulder. I whisper into her ear, "Do you think they made it?"

"Of course we made it,"

I gasp into the chilly air as that familiar, raspy voice fills the quiet night. All four of us whirl around to meet a pair of cold, blue eyes under a black hood--which were also surrounded by four other radiant pairs.

I feel my heart sink when Normani grabs my arm gently, pulling me close against her chest in a quiet hiss. I nuzzle my head into her chest when I meet the sight of the hidden girl, now slowly approaching us.

"You arrived," I bite my lip to keep from making any noise when I hear her voice, the croaked gutteral sound sending a chill down my spine at how raspy and smooth it was all at once. I could only see the tip of her nose from under her white hood and that bothered the crap out of me.

"You said Camila requested this," Dinah states calmly, giving me a small glance and sighing. "This is only for her...because we owe her."

I furrow my eyebrows and turn to look back at Alex, who simply shrugs her hood off and looks back up at us through her long lashes, "We agreed that this was for the sake of the Alphas mate...not to be friends."
