I walked Dawn home. She leaned on me.
Barry and Reggie looked at me weird.
"What the hell, guys? So what if I have a girlfriend?" I asked.
They looked away.
We went into my room.
Dawn dried her hair with the blow dryer. She did it on me, only to get yelled at on accident.
"Sorry." I said.
"I know how you have that temper," Dawn said. "It's fine!"
I put on dry clothes and flopped onto the bed. "I'm bored."
"Care for another swim?"
"Later." I said. "How about I find my next victim to be walked in on?"
"Sure." She must have heard the bathroom close as well.
I snickered and opened it as wide as I could. "Surprise, motherfucker!"
Barry screamed and covered himself with his shirt. "Get out!"
I closed the door and snickered again. Dawn high fived me.
"He actually laughed!" Dawn said to Reggie later that day. "He did!"
I blushed. "Yes. I did."
"I don't believe you." Reggie said. "He's never laughed, only snickered."
"I did!" I said.
A/N: Happy birthday, Pokemon, for twenty years. I'll always love you.
Dawn hugged me. "He's so sexy!"
"Me? Sexy? No." I sweated and blushed. "No. NO."
Reggie laughed. "You're sexy."
I shook my head.
"Come on, Paul, I have to talk to you." Dawn pulled me away.
"What?" I asked softly.
She shut the door and sat on the bed. "This might sound weird, but.."
"Don't tell me your pregnant. I'm not ready to be a father."
"No! We haven't had sex yet!" Dawn cried. "I was gonna say that I found an almost dead Pokemon in the forest, and you called me, and I had to leave it."
"Who's killing Pokemon?" I whispered raspily. "Who?"
"I don't know." She said.
"I'm gonna kill you, Paul Shinji! Open the door!" Barry screeched, kicking it.
"It was somebody's evil spirit." Dawn got up and walked towards the dresser. "Weren't you gonna take me to the pond?"
"Oh, yeah." I said.
"Damn you, hair." Dawn swore, her hair refusing to go down. "Just go down."
"Why are you so damn straight about your appearance?"
"Because I'm so ugly after my hair's like this!"
"You're never ugly!" I said. "You're beautiful!"
"You think so?" She whispered.
"Yes, just grab that towel and get outta here. Barry's coming to assassinate me."
She took my hand and opened the door.
Barry roared and leaped for me. He missed.
"Loser!" I called over my shoulder.
Barry growled and screamed, "I'm gonna fuck you up!"
Dawn walked out of the house. I slammed the screen door.
"Paul, do you really think I'm beautiful, even with bed hair?"
"Yes. I wouldn't care whether you were bald or not."
Dawn blushed. "Aww, that's sweet. I like this new attitude."
I sighed and jumped into the pond, shirt and all.
"Paul!" Dawn scolded. "Your clothes are all wet!"
"I know where I can sun myself off."
Dawn took her boots off. "Well.."
"Get in here!" I dragged her into the water.
Dawn threw her hat off behind her.
I spun her around, water splashing in spurts. I dropped her and she splashed into the water.
"Float! Don't be afraid of it!" I ordered.
Dawn found her balance and was floating. "Now what?"
"Its deeper here." I swam underwater to the deepest part.
"Aren't you gonna-"
"Dive underneath!"
Dawn dove underneath, pushing off as she swam easily over to me.
"See? It wasn't that hard." I said.
Dawn nodded. "Thanks."
"No problem."
We were both wet all over. My sneakers were still on, and water seeped through them.
Dawn shivered a bit and hugged me.
I swam back to shore. She swam after me, grabbing my ankles.
"Dawn, let go!" I said, almost kicking her. "I can't swim if your grabbing me!"
I dove underwater.
Dawn's face was so clear through the water it was like looking through glass.
I broke the surface and dragged myself onto the shore, taking Dawn's hand and pulling her out.
She held her boots up and put them on.
Our shoes squelched as we walked, both of us giggling, but as usual, I snickered.
"Paul, how did you do that laugh this morning?"
"I don't know." I said. "It just, came out."
"Wow."
I hiccupped and we both laughed. I did it again, laughing like that.
Dawn looked pleasuredly at me and hugged me, hiccuping again. She tried to snicker like me.
"Oh, Dawn." I said, ruffling her hair.
I laid down on the towel, staring into the red sky. "Do you ever wonder what it means?"
"What means what?"
"What that sunset means."
"It probably's a sign that we were meant for each other."
I moved closer to her, flinching as she flinched.
I moved my head even closer to hers.
Dawn kept staring at the sky.
She turned her head. "Paul, what are-"
I kissed her, locking lips and entwining tongues. She screamed.
"Paul!" She screamed.
I looked desperately into her eyes. "I need you."
She gaped at me. "Are you asking for sex?!"
I nodded.
"Ew! Gross! Ew!!" She jumped up. "Why would I have sex with you?!"
I ran after her, tripping on a stick out tree root.
I struck my head on it and fell backwards.
"Paul? Are you okay?!" Dawn asked, still scared and hyper by my behavior.
Opening my eyes, she was blurry in front of me. "D-Dawn?"
"Paul!" She said, satisfied.
I blinked.
She kissed me. I slid backwards on my back, my shirt going up slightly.
We slipped and tussled down the hill.
"Thanks a lot." I snarled.
Dawn glared at me, who was on top of her.
I blushed. "At least I'm not in a sexual position!"
Dawn sighed, "We're nose to nose. You call that non sexual?"
I blushed harder and sweated.
Dawn got off of me and stormed off. I gasped and ran after her.
She turned and stopped. I skidded to a halt.
"Leave me alone! You first ask for sex, then you lie! You moron!"
She ran off. Her words sliced through my heart.
"Dawn.." I murmured.
I can live without her. I growled in my mind.
"I heard you guys scream!" Barry called. "You okay?"
I shot him a thumbs up and staggered back up the hill.
"What's wrong?" Barry asked.
"Dawn left me." I muttered.
Barry's eyes glimmered. "Aww, Paul.."
I left him behind and walked away.
She was a bitch anyways. I started going back into my dark self. That priss.
I whipped around as Barry tapped my shoulder. "What?!"
Barry opened his mouth to speak, but I stormed off.
Damn it, love can hurt! I didn't expect this!
I put my hood over my head and ran off, tears streaming down my face.
