"Hey, where's Alex?"

"He went to run some errands. He told me To ensure you that you're in safe hands. I mean, I could have said that myself but whatever." Opal replied while fiddling with her fabric and needles.

I looked back up at Rhine. She gave me a knowing smile and nodded as if to ensure me. I did feel safe. I really did. The two stunning woman reminded me of two caring mothers who were going to protect me.

I started small talk with Rhine while Opal 'worked her magic' as Rhine referenced. "So you must be from the west forest." Rhine suggested. I looked at her confused. "No I'm from Welbroke." Now it was her who looked at me weird. "Is that a village?" She asked sweetly. "No. It's a city."

Rhine gasped. "A-a city?" She asked hesitantly. "Yeah! It's actually really nice. I don't really like the people but I live in a cute little neighborhood. I like it there I guess. I'm trying to get home. I don't really know where I am right now if I'm honest."

Rhine looked completely she'll shocked, while Opal stood and bounded towards me.

"Wait!" She grabbed my shoulders and pulled me closer. "Are you saying that you're a.... A Human?!" Opal asked loudly, anticipation showing clear in her eyes. Her beautiful silver eyes.

I gulped before answering. "Y-yes. Yes I am." I stated.

Opal jumped up in joy and screeched with excitement, while Rhine was incredibly quite. She just stared at me and I stared right back. I was asking her with my eyes "what is wrong?"

She finally blinked and shook her head slightly, forcing herself out of her daze. She smiled at me but it was a small smile.

"Rhine! This is great! I must get to work I immediately!" Opal shouted and smiled widely at Rhine. Rhine looked at Opal and smile and nodded, this was a genuine smile. Opal squealed once more and ran back to get straight to work.

"R-Rhine?" I asked. She looked back down at me. "Yes, Cameron?" "Is there something wrong?" I asked her. Her expression changed almost to fast. There was confusion, sadness and fear written all over her face while she thought of a response.

After about a minute she began to tremble. I was determined to help. I was hesitant but I put my hand up to the glass where her forearm was visible. She jumped then turned to look at me. She smiled sweetly at me. Rhine pressed her hand up against mine and replied finally, "No sweetie. There's nothing wrong."

I could almost feel the warmth from her hand, but I could also sense the lies in her words. But instead of protesting, I smiled at her and nodded.

She was looking at me like how a mother looks at a child. But there was sympathy, still fear and sadness written on her face. The look that you give an infant that finally stopped crying.

I jumped at a sudden shout. "Cameron! I need you in here! Now!!!" Opal shouted from the other room. "Well, you mustn't leave her waiting. My Opal is not a patient woman." Rhine giggled, love seeping through her voice when she shared another trait of the woman in the other room.

I nodded up at her and giggled as well. I removed my hand from the glass and ran to see what Opal needed.
