Brynn Freight's POV:
My brother Ben and I walk down the road to the reaping. We are pretty unlucky, because district 3 has very little sets of twins. We walk along with our older sister Violet, who is also a twin, but Indigo was reaped for the games 2 years ago and died when it came down to her and a career.
"I have tokens for you guys for good luck and if you get picked, they'll be tokens for in the arena," she says as we're halfway there.
She takes out a necklace and puts it around my neck. I notice it's a heart locket and inside there is a picture of her and a picture of Indigo.
"Thank you," I say and wrap my arms around her.
After my hug, she pulls out a pin for Ben. It has a picture on it of a sword. It was to remind us of our father who died a few years ago from an illness. He loved sword fighting and also loved trying to make them, even though they never worked out.
We both say goodbye as we go and sign in.
After the documentary, our escort Lienna Hart walks over to the bowl.
"Welcome, and let the reaping for the 4th Quarter Quell begin," she says as she picks the first slip.
"Brynn and Ben Freight," she says, and we freeze.
I start hyperventilating and Ben has to calm me down. Ben starts to walk up, but I freeze. I can't move. I try but I can't. Eventually a peacekeeper comes and drags me up.
"Stubborn much," Lienna says.
"That's Brynn and I'm Ben and we're 14," Ben says, since I can't speak either.
"Wonderful," Lienna says as she walks over to the bowl again.
"Olivia and Olive Fletcher" she yells.
I watch as 2 girls with brown hair slowly walk up to the stage from the 12 year old section.
"Wonderful, how old are you two?" Lienna asks as they walk up to the stage.
"12," says one of them.
"Ladies and gentlemen, our sets of twins for the 4th Quarter Quell," Lienna announces before leading us off of the stage to the train.
