Devon Crail's POV:
My brother and I walk to the reaping, with our little sister, Delia. She isn't a twin so she's just watching the reaping and she's too young anyways, being only 8.
We arrive and have to leave our sister to go to our section.
"Bye Dev. Bye Drin," she says as she joins our parents.
"Bye Dels," I call after her.
We stand in our section next to our friends Jax and Jaz. Finally the boring video starts and our escort, Quindila Brim starts by walking to the bowl with the names.
"Welcome everybody. Our first pair is..." she drags out, "Jax and Jaz Cosmo."
We all look at eachother. We know they want us to volunteer, but we can't bring ourselves to do it.
"Next pair," Quindila says as soon as they get up there, not bothering to ask their ages, "Devon and Drin Crail."
We slowly walk up to the stage next to our friends and stare out at district 5. "We're all 15 by the way," I say since Quindila never bothers to ask.
"District 5's tributes everybody," she says.
We get to a room and right away Delia runs in.
""Dev! Drin!" She yells as she runs into our arms, bawling.
We sit in a hug for a while before anybody speaks. Delia is the first to.
"Win for me. Promise?" She asks.
"Promise," I say, but I know that promise might get broken. She then takes the ribbons out of her pigtails and hands them to us.
"Your tokens. To remember me," she says.
We take her ribbons and tie them on our wrists. They were a lovely red color to match her white dress with red roses on it. They looked beautiful in her brown hair, but now they're on our wrists.
"By Dels," I say and kiss her on the forehead before a peacekeeper drags my family away, Delia in tears.
