Doubled

16) Training day 1

Autumn Sky's POV:

I wake up in the luxurious room we were assigned to. The rooms were bigger and fit 2 queen sized beds, one for me and one for Summer. I look over an notice she's still sleeping.

I quietly get up and get dressed in the training outfit we are required to wear. This year it's a black tank top with lime green stripes down the sides. The pants go just below my knees and are black with the same colored stripes down each leg.

I tiptoe out of the room to the living room, where I find Sadie sitting on the couch.

"Why are you up so early?" I ask.

"I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. You?" She says.

"I guess I'm just a morning person. I like waking up early, unlike my sister," I say.

I notice breakfast is already out on the table so I sit down and start. I start with a piece of toast covered in a chocolate spread and some fruit. After I finish that, I'm still starved so I eat a bagel with cream cheese and have some yogurt.

"Hey," says Summer as she sits down next to me.

Sadie and Saige sit across from us and we all sit in silence for a while.

Finally, Jewel comes out and joins us.

"Hurry up ladies, big day of training ahead," she says to us as she hurries around the room, doing who knows what.

We all get up from the table and head to the elevator, ready for our first day of training.

Rosalynne Smith's POV:

We all stand in a semi-circle around a lady, who wouldn't tell us her name.

"Welcome, to your first day of training. For the next couple days, you will be practicing skills that will help you in the arena. These skills will include weapons, but also survival skills. Those can be more important than a weapon in the arena," she says, "so here are the rules, no fighting with eachother, save that for the arena."

She finally let's us go.

Ryan and I walk to the trident station with Amethyst and Amber.

We teach them how to throw the tridents, and they catch on quickly. So we decide to head to the poison berries and nuts station.

Samantha Abbott's POV:

I throw the spear, and it hits the dummy right in the head and another right in the heart.

"Awesome Sam, let me try," says Amanda.

She throws it and hits it right in the stomach.

"Samantha, Amanda, get over here," says Quincy.

We run over to their group. We stand there in a circle of me, Amanda, Quinn, Quincy, Arelynn, Ashlynn, Xavier, and Xander.

"So, how should we take out district 4," says Quincy.

"Well, we could have 2 of us take watch, and kill them, simple," I reply.

"Yeah, but we should make it extra painful or something, but how," Says Quincy.

"I don't know, but we should be quiet, they're right over there," I say, looking at Rosalynne.

Ryan Smith's POV:

"Rose, I just heard Quincy whisper something about taking out district 4, do you think he wants to kill us?" I ask my sister, pulling her aside.

"No, absolutely not," she says and looks over her shoulder at Amethyst and Amber, "well, possilby, I don't know, we'll just have to keep an eye on them at all times"
