A/N: If you feel the need to skip Lucy's part for whatever reason you may. Look for the ** for the next half of the chapter.
Apologies if this chapter (or any of my past chapters) has been triggering/insulting to anyone. When I write my intentions are to entertain you, my readers, never ever to hurt or offend you. I care about you guys. Regardless, I am still sorry if any of my chapters have come off as being remotely close to rude or hurtful.
I hope you can forgive me.
Following Lucy
Lucy had wanted to go alone, but Malva had wanted to tag along anyway. Mostly to try and convince the American woman to return to the Center, or go catch another Pokemon, or do anything else other than what she was about to do right now.
"Are you positive you want to do this?"
"For the uptenth time, Malva, yes! I want to do this. I need to do this." Lucy huffed as she hastened her pace. "It's the right thing."
"But...why? It's not--"
Lucy stopped and glared at her. "If you're not going to support me on this, then you can leave. It's my choice."
"It may be your choice, but does he or she...get any say in this decision?"
Lucy scoffed. "I'm not even showing yet and you're freaking out about this. There's been no kicks nor bumps. No anything. It'll be alright. Relax."
Malva grabbed Lucy by the wrist and forcefully dragged her friend to a stop. "It doesn't matter if you have or haven't felt anything yet. There is a baby growing within you, and if you...if you go through with this, then--"
"Will you stop bitching?!" Lucy hissed as she wrenched her hand away from her friend. She hastened her pace as she neared the darkened building.
"Can you at least wait a few days or even a week before you do this? Give yourself some more time to think about this."
"Malva, for the love of God. Shut up!" She took hold of the doorknob and twisted it, but Malva slammed her hand on the door before Lucy could pull it open. "Malva--"
"I will not stand by and watch you do this to your child. Yes, they may be a...flower child, but they deserve to live a good, long life."
"Mal...oh my God! You're so stupid! Even if I kept it, I wouldn't be able to support the both of us. I'm too young."
Malva blinked. "Then...why?"
"Huh?""Why'd you get pregnant in the first place?"
"It was an accident!"
"But you could have just--"
"I'm done with this conversation." Lucy growled as she forced the door open. "Goodbye and see you later. Everything will be alright. I promise."
"Lucy!"
The door slammed behind her as she cut off Malva. A heavy and irritated sigh escaped the young woman as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"Ahem. Ma'am, do you have an appointment?"
Lucy looked up to see an empty waiting room. She glanced around for a moment before spotting a bored-looking woman sitting behind a small check-in desk. "Uh...no. I don't." Her words were now stutters of fading anger.
The woman gave a silent sigh before placing a clipboard in front of her. "Fill out the papers and we can take you into the back."
Lucy nodded before taking the clipboard and filling it out on the desk. It took her a couple minutes to complete, but once she was finished she handed everything back to the woman. The check-in woman examined Lucy's responses before turning back to her buzzing computer and entered in Lucy's responses.
