Everyone grew tense as the lab door was slowly pushed open. Hunter and  Gastly stood/hovered ready for a fight, while Lucy quickly thought of  what moves to use.

Amelia, on the other hand, glowered at the  door as her Pokemon flanked her side. She had decided to bring only one  with her, while the others stayed with her friends. Her friends that  were hopefully on their way or on the other side of the door.

A young, slender face peeked inside of the room as the rose-haired girl met the tense gazes of Lucy and Amelia. "Lucy?"

The  brunette let out a long and heavy sigh of relief as she and her Pokemon  relaxed. "Malva, thank God. We thought you were someone else...What the  heck are you doing down here?! How the heck did you even get down here?"

Malva  opened the door wider and stepped inside the lab. Her expression grew  firm as she crossed her arms across her chest. "I followed you and your  Pokemon after I saw you leaving the clinic. I lost you all after the  stairs, but that doesn't matter right now. One, why are you here, and two, why?! Did you go through with it at the clinic?"

Amelia  blinked in confusion. "Alright...let's not play the pronoun game. What is  the 'it' that you did at the clinic? And what clinic?" She glanced over  at her ghost type before looking at an irritated Lucy. "Is this really  the time to be discussing this? I know I was briefly feeding into said  discussion, but really? Can't this wait until later?"

The Cubone nodded annoyed and impatiently. "Guarr."

"Sneeeasel!  Snee sneas sneea." Hunter was still giving the Cubone and Vulpix a  death glare, but only the fire fox seemed bothered by the stern look.

"Vulp. Vul vul."

        "Gast?"

"...Vulp."

"I  agree." Lucy huffed, ignoring the Pokemon's conversation. "This can  wait. Hell, this never has to come up ever again. We need to get Amelia  to a hospital and alert Celadon's authorities about--"

"Don't  change the subject, Lucy! You killed a—AAHHH!" Malva's screams echoed  throughout the halls. Her gaze had landed on the mutated corpses.  "W-What are those things?!"

Lucy and Amelia snagged the  terrified girl from out of the hallway and dragged her kicking and  screaming inside of the lab. "Mal, shut up! They will find us!"

The  girl didn't stop shrieking as she was dragged closer to the motionless  bodies. She tugged and pulled against the two females in hopes of  getting away from the horrifying sights. "L-Let me go!!"

"Malva, calm down and for the love of God, shut your mouth! Someone shut that door!"

Amelia  rushed the door and shut it as quietly as she could. She didn't know  how Malva made it past the grunts and the scientists, but she wasn't  going to risk them being found now.

        "...guurr." Cubone groaned.

Hunter  hissed at the Pokemon's remark, but was silenced by a light hand on his  head. He glanced up to see Lucy staring down at him with a calm  expression. "We'll get out of here, but you can't start a fight with  these Pokemon. Someone on the outside might here us, and I don't think  this disguise will help us anymore."

        "Lucy!"

"Malva,...I  don't know what you think I did at the clinic, but it was for the best.  Trust me. Besides, I can't afford to raise a child at the moment." Lucy  muttered as she dropped the lab coat from her shoulders.
