It's getting colder the longer I stand for my ride in front of this asylum. Jill was absolutely right, the hours were horrendous. They should have warned me about the temperature inside and outside this place, nothing but freezing air tends to walk along my pale skin. The time was already flying by and it was almost midnight. It wasn't until I was met with a bright light and a honking sound to let me know I was finally heading home.

"Took you long enough," I entered the small, black, dusty car.

"Your mum came by our place Bell, she started freaking out about why you weren't home yet," his husky voice escapes.

"Joey, I can't deal with her right now, you know this. Mother kicked me out long ago, she shouldn't be worrying about my safety or whether I'm home or not; just because I don't pick up my house phone while I'm at work doesn't mean I'm dead, it just means I'm busy," sighing after my final word I take my nurses hat off, lazily, and sigh loudly.

"Don't get me wrong, I totally understand that Bell, but she's still your mother and has some rights to be the way she is," Joey starts to turn the wheel.

"Are you trying to defend her? You think she's right? Joe, I've known you since primary school and your trying to tell me I need to listen to my mother while I'm twenty three and living with you?" I fix my posture, leaning in more towards his way with a face full of disgust.

"Chill out Bella, you know she can't control it," I can see Joey from the corner of my eyes furrowing his brows.

"So what? She has bipolar, I have panic disorder, you don't see me using it as an excuse for kicking my own child out of my own damn lif-"

"BELL!" Joey suddenly stopped the car.

"Sorry." I look down at my lap, rubbing my face. "I didn't mean it, I'm just really really..."

"Stressed out?" Joey raises his brow.

"Yeah..."

"Well we're here; come on you need some sleep for work tomorrow," he runs his hands through his brown hair. "I'll make you a quick dinner while you freshen up," he lifts up my head while cupping my face, smiling at me.

"Okay," I innocently smirk while heading out the car and into our apartment building.

"Ah the sweet smell of pizza," I walk into the kitchen with drenched hair and a baggy Marilyn Manson shirt along with some blue plaid boy boxers.

"Homemade at it's finest, dear," Joey places the pan of homemade pizza on the counter, wiping his hands with a cloth.

"Ugh I'm starving," I put slices of pizza down on a plastic plate.

"Be careful it's ho-"

"H-HOT!!" I wave air around my mouth as Joey quickly opens a bottle of water for me. While chugging the water I give him a thumbs up.

"That's cute," he smirks.

Jokingly I roll my eyes, swallowing the pizza. Joey's eyes meet with mine, I enjoyed staring into his eyes. Joey and I weren't dating, but we flirt a lot. We used to date four years ago, but I thought we should just be friends.

Once I finish my pizza, I yawn, stretching out my arms.

"Already tired I see?" Joey cleans up the table.

"Mhm," I nod, messing with my damp to dry hair.

"I'm gonna go brush my teeth, and go to bed. I have to wake up early tomorrow," rolling my eyes I get up.

"Have a goodnight sleep nurse Bella," I hear Joey snicker behind me.

"Goodnight Joey Barrett," I smirk, continuing to walk to my room in peace.

Let's get ready for another round to crazy town.
