Chapter Eighteen: It's A Watery Kinda Day
Alex's Point of View
"GOOD MORNING! It's another bright and sunny day here in the north of the United Kingdom which ALSO happens to be the day of the second triwizard tournament task where YOUR, yes YOUR!" I shouted at Lottie's face, jumping onto her four post bed in our shared dormitory and pointing at her, "BROTHER survives yet again to see ANOTHER day! Wow, WHAT a day of excitement this world has planned for THIS lil' outskirts of the town witch!"
"Alex, have you had something?" Lottie grumbled, pulling herself up in bed and rolled out onto the floor. I grinned and shook my head vigorously,
"Maybe it's YOU that needs something!" Lottie pulled a face, shook her head, much slower than I had done, and began to get up from the floor,
"Maybe we should take you to a erm ... a medical professional, maybe they can ... sort you out." She said slowly, stumbling across the dorm to the bathroom. I frowned for a few seconds, then shrugged it off, began to grin and hopped off to see the twins downstairs in the common room.

"So H." Fred said, sitting one side of Harry on a couch in the common room, "What's that there egg all about then?"
"I don't ... know." Harry said, "I think it's to do with the lake but--"
"Well personally," I said, swinging my legs over the back of the couch to sit on the back, accidentally hitting George in the face with my foot too, "I think you should know by now."
"Yeah well ... fuck you Alex."
"LANGUAGE LITTLE BOY!" I heard Lottie exclaimed. I giggled, then she pushed me off the couch, "Sit on the furniture properly!"
"But! But! But you're--"
"Do as I say, not as I do." She scolded, sitting where I previously had being. I scowled at her and she chuckled. I then pushed myself onto the rug and folded my arms sulkily,
"There's no wonder no one likes you."
"That wasn't very nice."
"Oh children!" Fred exclaimed, standing up in front of us, "Be gone to your breakfast!"
"Aren't cha coming?" I asked,
"You'll see." He said, and left the conversation there. I shrugged, and got up from the floor, following Lottie out of the common room.

"Oh, and Miss Lupin!" McGonagall called as the bell for the end of Transfiguration ended its ring, "Can I speak to you please?"
"What you done now?" George whispered, and Lottie just grunted,
"I dred to think."
"Maybe it's about--"
"Without you Miss Tonks."
"Don't be uncool Professor." I smirked to her, raising an eyebrow. She gave me a look that I believe was suppose to scare me, but we both know she was wasting her efforts, "Okay chill, we're all friends here." I said raising my hands, "See ya Lot."
"Yeah bye." She said bluntly. She raised her hand and I fist bumped it, before turning on my heels and exiting the room,
"Well?!" The twins shouted straight in my face as soon as I inched out of the classroom,
"Be cool guys!" I yelled back. Fred and George raised their eyebrows. I then took a few seconds to think about what Lottie and McGonagall could possibly be talking about, but if my presence wasn't allowed ... "I don't know what she wants, but it must be of some sort of private importance." I concluded. The twins seem to buy it, even if I didn't, and we marched off to the common room to drop our bags off.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"Not good." I mumbled to myself, sprinting after the twins who were running towards the lake. Thing is ... well Lottie hasn't ... okay we kinda ... fully lost her. I have no idea where she is or what she's up to. It's being a good hour and a half since lessons ended, and an hour and fifteen minutes have being spent looking for the missing Lupin. After searching the corridors, the classroom, Hagrid's hut, the dorms, the common room, generally the whole of Gryffindor tower and even down in the dungeons, I decided that maybe now is the time to start to panic. But one place we hadn't check might be the answer,
"Where's Lottie?!" The twins shouted at Harry once they reached him at the edge of the Black Lake,
"I don't know!" Harry snapped weakly back. Clearly wasn't the answer, "I thought she was with you!"
"No! We thought she was with you!" The twins said simultaneously. I shook my head, this wasn't looking as good as I had first planned. I slowed down my run as I approached the three guys, and put my hand on Fred's shoulder to steady myself,
"Got her?" I panted. Fred shook his head,
"She's not here! We thought she was with you!"
"She's not with me! I thought she was with ... erm, was with ..." I saw Ron running towards us, "Ron! I presumed she'd be with Ron! And was looking for you guys!"
"Who was with me?" Ron said, and let out a tired pant,
"Lottie! Alex thought she was with you!" Harry said,
"No!" Ron scoffed, "Why would she be with me? I thought she'd be with you!"
"Well she isn't with us!" George said, "I thought she'd probably be with Hermione!" The conversation ended and each eye turned to the hill, waiting to see Hermione appear and come running to ask us about Lottie. But after four minutes she didn't turn up, and the five of us let out a relieved sigh. Lottie's with Hermione.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"Where are they?!" George exclaimed suddenly, sounding very agitated,
"They both should be here by now! It's about to start!"
"Ron, chill it." I said, "It's Lottie and Hermione. They're bright, they know exactly what they're doing."

Tense. I am tense. The water rippled slightly. My hands flipped themselves into nervous fists. Where was Harry? Why hadn't he appeared? Fleur had. Then again ... only Fleur had. I gasped, and Cho's head came out of the water. There was a yell from our corner of the audience, and Cedric's head appeared out of the water after. More cheers erupted, "Oh man."
"At least we've got one back." Fred shrugged,
"Just gotta wait for Krum and H now." George said. I looked at him with a frown. He shrugged, "Just trying to diffuse the tension."
"Well you're no--" The water made a noise and all our heads whipped towards it. A splash and a splutter later revealed Hermione and seconds later Krum. A yell erupted from the Durmstrang corner. HOLD ON A MINUTE!
"LOTTIE'S IN THE LAKE!" Fred screamed,
"I thought it, he said it." I shrugged. I spun around and slapped George's face,
"What was that for!" He yelled, rubbing his cheek,
"KRUUUUUUUUMM!" Ron yelled. I cringed. He sounded pretty annoyed,
"To bring you around. You were looking a little dazed." I said seriously,
"You never even see m--"
"Now come on! We need to watch and then be ready to go see they're okay!" I shouted over the cheers.
"Right! Calm it Ron!" Fred said, and clapped his hands,
"I am bloody calm!" Ron replied, sounded quite uncalm. George glared at me, but then patted my shoulder and mumbled a thanks,
"Get it together Weasley you love sick pup!"
"I have it together Tonks!" He grinned back. I rolled my eyes and chuckled, then the water rippled gently. The noise died. We all stared. It rippled again. I gasped and automatically went to grabbed something, which happened to be Fred's arm. I grasped onto it for dear life, nerves engulfing all my normal cool and calm feelings. The water moved again, and Fred slammed his hand on mine. I gasped again and dug my nails in as Lottie's head emerged from the water, closely followed by her brother's. Ron and George took off like shots, I sighed with a sense of relief,
"Be careful!" I yelled. I heard Fred trying to even his breathing. I looked at him as he looked at me. Our eyes met and my breath was caught in my throat. I then felt sick. We both looked at his arm simultaneously, before letting go off each other and stumbling apart, uttering various apologies then taking off in a sprint towards the lake.

"I'll k-k-k-k-kill you H-H-Harry P-Potter!" Lottie weakly yelled. I placed another towel around her shoulders as Fred continued to dry her hair with another,
"Look Lot I'm ... so sorry about what has happened. I wish they'd never picked you. Never!"
"W-w-why wasn't it R-Ron?" Lottie whimpered, "H-he's your best friend!"
"Lottie, it's okay!" George said, rubbing her arm with a towel. He was sitting cross legged in front of her, and had been attempting to dry her feet. But he kept tickling her, so she kept kicking him and pulling them back,
"I'm so sorry Lottie, I really am." Harry said, knotting a towel around his waist and getting another off of the pile for his shoulders, "I really didn't know that they would put you under there too!"
"D-didn't you know?" Lottie asked. Harry shook his head,
"You didn't?" I asked, Harry nodded again,
"Of course not! I know I'm an idiot--"
"True."
"But I wouldn't," Harry continued, ignoring my comment, "Let them put Lottie into the water."
"What about me!" Ron whined, "She said it should be me!"
"She?"
"Lottie said--"
"Oh shut up you're so annoying." Fred said. Lottie shook her head in the towel, and Fred ruffled her hair before taking it off and chucking it aside,
"I think we should just end it here." I said, "Forget about it. Forget everything and stop trying to blame someone. Now, let's go back to the castle and get us some jelly."
"No Al." George said, shaking his head, "We need to find out the results."
"And after that we need to make sure Lottie and H are okay." Ron continued, "Then go find Hermione."
"Urgh gay." I uttered, "I wanted je--"
"WE HAVE THE RESULTS!" Dumbledore's voice roared, "In first place, Hogwart's champion--"
"Oh my merlin!"
"Cedric Diggory!"
"Typical!" The twins exclaimed. Lottie rolled her eyes and sighed,
"All that effort and you didn't win."
"We're all still safe. It was worth it."
"Sorry H." Lottie grumbled,
"Sorry Lot." Harry mumbled back,
"Stop mumbling!" I exclaimed,
"AND FOR SECOND PLACE!" Dumbledore's voice rattled through again,
"Must he shout?" Ron muttered irritably,
"STOP MUMBLING!"
"There is but a tie!"
"Ooooooh!" George raised his eyebrows,
"Maybe it wasn't such a waste." Harry shurgged,
"Durmstrang champion Vikor Krum and--" Dumbledore exclaimed, then coughed slightly and continued with, "Hogwarts champion Harry Potter tie for second place for moral fibre!"
"WAAAAAAAAYY!" I shouted, and got up to high five Harry. He stood in a slight daze, with a smile creeping on his face,
"Bloody hell! You got a second mate!" Ron smirked, "How did you do that?"
"You! You saved her!" Came a soft voice in the area. I turned and saw Fleur tip toeing her way over to the six of us, "You brought her back!"
"Uh ... yeah." Harry said,
"What?" I asked. Fred got up and stood next to me,
"Thank you! Thank you so!" Fleur exclaimed, tears beginning to flow down her cheeks. She walked over to Harry and kissed both his cheeks,
"Oh it was ... It was nothing!" Harry smirked,
"She would of drowned without you! You saved her! And your sister!" Fleur said and pointed to Lottie. Lottie raised her eyesbrows. "Thank you!"
"You're erm ... welcome?" Lottie asked more than told. She hasn't got a clue what she's on about. Then again, does anyone know right now? I don't,
"Thank you again! I forever in your debt!" Fleur kissed Harry's cheeks again, before lightly running back to her headmistress and sister. We all began to look at each other,
"What just happened?" Lottie asked,
"Fleur kept kissing Harry." I said confused,
"After Fleur pulled out without saving her sister, I knew someone would have to do it or her sister would just drown. So when I cut the rope that was holding Lottie down--"
"Ooooooh. Kinky." Fred chuckled, and nudged George's arm with his foot. A laugh burst out and I quickly recovered. Harry was struggling to keep it together. George merely glared at his twin, but not without a slight unknown darkness showing in them,
"I cut Fleur's rope too so her sister would get back up as well." Harry then began to chuckle hysterically. Fred grinned to himself and George folded his arms angrily,
"I don't even remember seeing her head." George mumbled,
"STOP IT!" I yelled,
"I don't even remember seeing her head!" George shouted clearly,
"Thank you!" I huffed sarcastically,
"See!" Ron chimed in, rejoining the conversation after he had completed his goal of staring at Fleur, "I knew you was going to be a great champion!"
"Ron that conversation has ended."
"Shame you wasn't saying that at the previous task!" Harry rolled his eyes, completely ignoring me. He looked like he was still wounded from their argument over the tournament, but Harry high fived Ron when he held his hand up,
"Well well done Harry anyway!" Lottie's voice rang out. Harry held out his hand and pulled her up, whilst George pushed himself up on his knees,
"It's probably best if we got you back inside now." Fred said,
"Come along Lot bot." George followed, holding his arms out to Lottie. She flick her hair then walked into them easily, and George lifted her up onto his shoulder. She jiggled about slightly, before George ended up carrying her like a baby. I pushed the towel back up onto her shoulder as we begun to walk away from the lake and up the hill towards the castle,
"Let's go get you warmed up." I told her. Lottie laughed and then clapped her hands multiply times,
"Someone! Excuse me! Hello! Hello somebody!" She shouted and put on a posh accent. Fred jogged up to her side,
"Yes m'lady?" He asked, and tried to bow whilst he walked. She coughed and some water came out. Lottie then giggled loudly, and I noticed the glowing look on George's face. Lottie pointed to me, walking backwards like a pro five or so feet in front of them,
"Go and fetch this woman some jelly!"
