Chapter Four: Save My Soul From This Mad Thing Called Quidditch
Lottie's Point Of View
It seemed to take forever for Mr Weasley to sort out where we were staying. Turns out Alex is hanging with us for the cup and then going home with her family at the end of the evening, since most of the wizarding population is here. Maybe I could meet her mother ... "Ireland'll win but Bulgaria get the snitch? That's a little far fetched."
"Yeah, but it'll happened." Fred said as Alex grumbled something to herself and re-treated to my side, folding her arms,
"How much money are you guys losing?" I asked, not even needing to ask what they were doing. Betting? Really?
"A-- Most of our savings." George said, swiftly picking himself up from an almost error to begin with. I nodded and ignored it since it was George and that's what happens when you're crushing on someone slightly. But then there was a problem. I wasn't crushing on Fred,
"Most? You told me it was all there." Fred said with raised eyebrows and George shook his head, quickly getting a single nod in which Alex spotted and then it caused an up-roar between the four of us on why they shouldn't bet it all. Or generally any of it,
"It is not going to happen!" Alex scoffed, "If it happens, I stick a peace sign on Snape's back!"
"You are so on!" Fred laughed an they each spat on their hands, shaking on the decision. The guy who was taking bets, and whose names I learnt to be Ludo Bagman, then took the small bag of galleons from the twins and Alex then walked up to him, slipping a coin into his hand and smiling sweetly. Ludo nodded and then walked past us in a seemingly proud way, "Oh, and happy birthday." He nodded to me as he pasted and stalked off towards more helpless wizards. I looked up at Alex with a confused frown and she shrugged,
"That's how special I think you are." She laughed and I grinned,
"Not much then." I scoffed and then began laughing,
"I'll split the cash with you. Three galleons on Bulgaria." She said as we began to make our way towards the tents,
"Deal!" I smiled and we high fived. There was yet more walking to get to the tent pitch. We passed tents that were so obviously magical, it was hard to believe the poor muggle at the house hadn't noticed. Plus the decorations and features of some made it hard to believe they would even think of staying in a tent in the first place. Chimneys, peacocks and a full-on front garden were just a couple of the extravagant ideas people had added to their tents. And if it could get worst, when we eventually got to our pitch, the small wooden sign hammered into the ground read 'Weezly' and not 'Weasley', "Urgh I hate that." I thought aloud and Alex laughed,
"I wonder what was put on ours."
"Oh, I don't know maybe Tonks?" I said sarcastically and she rolled her eyes. It's not a hard spelling Al, not difficult at all. We all stared at the empty space and Mr Weasley dropped his backpack,
"Well then kids, look like we have a job to do. Now, no magic at all. At all Fred." Mr Weasley said as he spotted Fred's thoughtful look, "We're going to be putting this up by hand! Now Hermione, you grew up with muggles, I'm sure you know how! Oh, and you did too didn't you Lottie? And Harry! Well come on then, where'd we start?" He asked and kept looking from me to Hermione to Harry and back again with a bright grin. Harry looked extremely panicked. I bet he didn't even know what a tent was. Every time the Dursleys went away, they'd just leave him with Mrs Figg and she'd make him to all sorts whilst I sat around and talked to him. And I'd certainly never been camping before, so I had no idea where to begin. Luckily, Hermione seemed to know what she was doing, and me and Harry just knelt beside her and followed her whispered instructions whilst the others stood and watch in amazement,
