Chapter Twelve: The Shark Dances
Alex's Point Of View
"And we will all meet in the Great Hall in ten minutes." McGonagall annoncued to the class in Transfiguration. There was a load groan from the class as the bell rang and we were dismissed,
"Ten minutes?" Lottie whined, "We'll miss lunch."
"You don't need lunch anyway." I smirked and Lottie rolled her eyes,
"You're so horrible to me."
"So I am." I shrugged and smirked, jogging off towards the twins. I separated them at the shoulders and they both looked down at me,
"Oh hey Al--"
"Great news, go talk to Lottie." I said, spinning Fred around and pushing him towards Lottie. I turned around again and looked up at George, "You tell her?"
"Erm ... tell who what?" He asked and I looked at him in disbelief,
"Don't play dumb Weasley."
"Honestly, I'm not playing Al." George said and I stared at him,
"Did you tell Lottie you like her?" I asked him in one breath and he shook his head slowly. I groaned loudly and smacked my forehead, "May I ask why?"
"I didn't feel right at the time." George said awkwardly. I shook my head and stared at him,
"What?" I asked sarcastically and in slight disbelief,
"I don't know I just ... didn't." He said sheepishly,
"George." I said seriously and stared at him,
"What?"
"Stop putting this off!"
"I'm not!"
"Yes you are!" I exclaimed, taking a quick glance over my shoulder to see Fred and Lottie a long way back and both too busy laughing to notice my exclamation, "You're putting this situation in the dark! You want it but you won't ask! You whined for my help George! You whined--"
"No I didn't!" He defended weakily,
"Yes you did!" I snapped "You said help me, I said no, you said come on, I said no, you said it'll be fun, I said no, you said Alex, I said no, you said please, I said alright. Remember?! And now! Now! It's like I'm the only one who gives a shit!"
"That's not true!" George said and he looked in some kind of mental pain. Oh! Success,
"It is true George. Think about it! Hermione's all up with this 'spew' shit, I don't know where Fred is at with it and you, ever since she kissed your cheek, you've been a different guy. The lights are on, but the blinds are all down."
"I do want this!" George said, "I just ... I just erm --"
"Just go after her." I said, stopping and looked at him with slight venom to send over my point. He nodded quickly and halted, waiting until Lottie and Fred caught up. He looked down at Lottie, grabbed her hand and then dragged her forward and down the stairs. He gave Fred and I a slight nod over his shoulder before firing up a convosation with Lottie. I stood at the top of the stairs and watched them for a minute, folding my arms,
"Success?" I heard Fred say quietly as he stood next to me, folding his arms just the same.
"As expected from me." I mumbled, slowly beginning to smile a little with a slight nod of the head, "I'll be back." I said, and rushed back up to our dorm room.
