"Tyler sweet heart do you have everything." Tyler looks up at my mom and says,"Yes."

He jumps in the back seat with me and we put our seat belts on. I brought a pillow and blanket for us that we're probably use later.

Its summer of Freshman year I start Sophomore year and Corts going to her 2nd year of collage in West Virginia. This was the year we where going to move down there but with me being with Tyler things are hard. Where mostly going back to get Cort set up with a dorm room and for me to decide if we want to move there or not.

My mom shuts the tale gate and hops in the drivers seat. She says,"Everyone buckled?" We all say,"Yes." And my mom pulls out of the drive way. Cortney starts talking about Trent and how excited she is to see him.

Trent flew up here in the winter with Holly and Daniella, Adam and Stephen's girlfriends that I love. Trent came to see Cortney and Holly and Daniella came to see us. Derrick didn't come and didn't call the week his brother was here. After they left I called him and asked him why he didn't come and he said,"Well my brother was there." I hadn't seen him in almost a year and he didn't come because of his brother. We got in a big fight that night and we decided to break up and see other people.

Well of course Derrick has girls lined up for him. So I saw on Facebook each and every girl he went out with. It killed me. I stayed in bed for a month beside school. Then my friend Zyla dragged me out of the house to a party and I met Tyler there. He asked me about the infinity ring and I told him my dad gave it to me. We started hanging out and one thing lead to another.

"Katelyn did you hear what I said?" Cortney says with a annoyed tone. And by the look on Tyler's face she said something about Derrick. She says,"Are you and Derrick going to hang out again all summer."

Tyler stares at me waiting for my answer. I look at him and say,"No I'm going to either be with the boys or Tyler." His face lightens a little. And he gose back to texting somebody.

Tyler knows about Derrick and our story or at least sum of it. I didn't tell him about the ring that I still wear on my left hand ring finger. I didn't tell him about the hospital or car crash or the hooking up parts. Now that I think about it I only told him that Derrick was a summer love that ended when I went back to Illinois.

Tyler grabs my hand and whispers in my ear, "its okay I can handle myself if we see him." I smile a fake smile and grab my ear buds and put them in my ears.

I jump at the song that comes on and I scramble to change it. I can't find my phone and have to listen to Crazy by Hunter Hayes. The song that Derrick sang to me on my last day there, our song.
