Its Not Summer Anymore

Chapter 5

******Derricks House Above*********

"So?" I say to Tyler behind me holding on for dear life. "Is it over?" He says looking up from behind my back. He barred his head in my back when we started going straight down the mountain. I laugh and say,"Yea its road now. But you do have to meet some more family and guys." "You don't have anymore brothers do you?" I drive back to the house and say,"Yes,but there not here today. Won't be surprised if they show up. Its kinda a big deal when we come to town."

I pull on to the the gravel path and see Daniela and Holly. I press the gas all the way down and pass the boys. I slam on the brakes and jump off the four wheeler. I run to Holly and Daniela and jump on both of them.

"Katelyn its so good to see you." They both say. I give Holly a big hug and same with Daniela.

Daniela is a cute tiny thing. She's Stephens girlfriend. She dose pageants and always wins them she's the nicest sweets person every and she's as cute as a button.

Holly is Adams girlfriend. She's heavy. But I still love her she can be cranky and mean but is still sweet. She is a bit of a tomb boy. Nothing like how girly girl Daniela is. But I love them both.

They look at me and say,"Damn girl you look skinny." I smile and say "I know I lost 50 pounds." They say,"I'm happy for you that's great." Daniel says," Who's the cutie." Holly looks over my shoulder and says,"Yea where'd you pick him up at." I motion for Tyler to come over.

He jumps off the fore wheeler and walks over to us girls. He comes up next to me and raps his hand around my waist. I introduce Daniel and Holly to him.

Holly starts asking about how we met and how long we've been together and I knew she was going to ask me Derrick questions later. A familiar voice yells,"Well look at the skinny little hell on a stick. That owes her uncle a hug." I turn around to Matt yelling at me. I yell back ,"Well look what the cat dragged in." We both look at each other with serious faces. When Matt and I brake a smile. I run over to him and he opens his arms up. I run into them and start laughing. "Oh,God its good to see you." "You too sweetheart." I kiss his cheek and say,"So how long till you get deployed again." "Well honey, in 2weeks." My smile fades and I say,"Well let's make it worth its while! Where going mudding up at Derricks come with us. I turn around and say everybody can come. And you don't even need to bring your four wheelers." Matt looks at me confused and says,"We don't?" I wink at him and say,"You'll see."

We all hop in trucks and follow Derrick to his house. Its me ,Tyler,Tyler Phares, Little Matt, Dylan, Kyle ,Matt, Matt's wife,Raymond,Stephen,Daniel,Adam,Holly,My mom,Cortney and Susan.

We pull into the gates off Derricks property and drive down a long gravel road. I see the fountain. And then the huge house. I forgot how pretty it was.

We park and jump out of the trucks. Tyler looks at the house in amazement along with everybody else. I stand there for 5 minutes watching everybody.

Staring at the outside of the house.

I roll my eyes and say impatient "Are we going to go mudding." Everybody snaps out of there trance and nods there heads. I show them to the four wheeler garage. I push the little button to open the garage and watch there mouths drop again.

Derrick walks up behind me and says,"I have something for you." Derrick walks away and goes and gets whatever he got for me.

Tyler grabs my hand and pulls me to the side. He looks mad and says,"Why didn't you tell me your ex was loaded. How am I supposed to compete with that." I grab his face with my hands and say," You don't have to compete with him because there's no competition." Derrick interrupt us and wheels out a hot pink with zebra stripes four wheeler.
