Harry

I sat on the sofa as I watched Hermione and Ginny try to get Kiana to converse in the group. Kiana was here physically but mentally I knew that was a whole different story. The way she would twitch at random times. The way her eyes did a worried glance towards Cedric and I. Anger when she looks in the mirror. I was worried about her. You told her to leave you alone and now look at you.

"Kiana are you okay?" I asked.

Everyone now noticed her and we all watched as she stared at something. Her eyes darted down and her mouth opened then shut.

"Kiana?" Cedric asks worriedly.

"Huh? What's wrong?" Kiana asked.

"Are you okay?" Christian asked.

"Just thinking about that imposter with Kayla is all," she answers. "And if she's being forced into this or is she doing this by choice."

"You sure you're fine?" Cedric asks.

Her eyebrows furrowed and she sighed.
Hermione held Kiana in her arms.

"I'm fine guys, really," she lied. "Don't worry about me."

Kiana stood up from the couch and retreated to her bedroom. I heard a door close and we all looked at each other.

"Has she been like this since that night?" I asked.

Cedric and Christian's grey eyes met my green ones. They sent me a quick nod.

"I miss that sassy and fierce Kiana," Fred frowned.

"Saw a bit of her last night at dinner didn't we?" George asked.

"Closest thing to real emotion she's felt in weeks she's numb," Christian sighed.

"Well if someone who raised you took part in torturing you hurt you mentally, physically and emotionally how would you feel?" I sighed.

"Like shit mate," Jake said.

Cedric's phone buzzed again for the thirtieth time this hour.

"You should really call them," Mione frowned. "Lucas and the others are really worried about you and your sister. They're your best mates and I know you miss them."

Cedric hid his face in Hermione's shoulder. Mione frowned and rubbed his arm.

"Should someone check on her?" Ginny asked.

Jake rose from the couch and made his way to the foot of the stairs.

"I will she opens up to me a little better guys," Jake sighed.

Cedric sent him a small glare.

"I meant in things like this. Listen, I'm going to talk to her," Jake said.

He didn't wait for an answer because he went straight into her room.

Kiana

I laid in my bed, staring at the plain ceiling. I heard someone open my bedroom door and shut it.

"You look like you could use some company," Jake said.

I shrugged. I felt my bed shake a little then soon enough Jake was next to me.

"Can you do that cool star thing," Jake asked.

With a flick of my wand the boring ceiling changed into the night sky.

"Beautiful," Jake smiled.

I shrugged.

"It's nothing new," I sighed.

It got quiet between Jake and I.

"Are you feeling okay?" Jake asked.

I looked Jake in his eyes and sent him a small smile. With Jake I felt like I could tell him anything. There would be no judgement or pity from him. I truly enjoyed his presence.

"Some days are great and some days are not so great, but I'm doing the best I can," I answered truthfully.

Jake wrapped an arm around my neck and I cuddled into his chest.

"I missed you," Jake said.

"Glad someone did," I chuckled.

"Are you mad at Harry," Jake asked.

"He didn't tell you did he," I sighed.

Jake shook his head.

"He wants to protect me," I sighed.

"How is that a bad thing," Jake asked. "He always does."

"He wants to protect me by not talking to me. To make sure I never go through that pain again. Then he came here and hugged me and wants us to be happy. I am so confused," I frowned. "I just I want to be happy. But I don't think I know how to anymore."

Jake kissed my cheek and he let out a long sigh.

"Just know that I will always be there for you," Jake said.

"I know you will," I smiled.

"You know my brother likes you," Jake said.

"Really," I chuckled.

Jake nodded.

"He's crazy to like someone like me," I said.

"Maybe you should give him a shot," Jake said.

I shrugged.

"Maybe," I sighed.

"Kay, can I sleep in here tonight I can stare at this ceiling forever," Jake said.

"You don't have to ask twice," I said.

Jake pulled me in closer. His arms wrapping around my waist. In his arms I felt safe, as if nothing could hurt me anymore.

"Goodnight Kay," he yawned.

I cuddled closer into his chest. Hearing the beat of his heart.

"Goodnight J," I yawned.

The two of us letting sleep take over.
