Cedric
"Ah, Mr. Black," the Toad said.
Christian and I looked up at her.
"Hm which one is Cedric?" She asked.
I raised my hand.
"I do hope you keep your head today your sister and friend Harry did not. Although, it wasn't her fault it wasn't kind of her to yell in my class and walk out," she said.
I clenched my fist.
"Don't talk about my sister," I said.
Umbitch rose a brow.
"Excuse me," she asked.
"My sister has been through enough. Leave her alone and don't bother her," I growled.
"Cedric," Christian sighed.
"Detention Mr. Black," she smirked.
"Yeah. Piss off you Toad," I spat.
I stood up from my seat and stormed out of the classroom. I make my way to the unused Astronomy tower and climb to the top of the roof where I saw Kiana sitting at.
"Munchkin," I ask.
Kiana looks up from the paper she was holding and looked at me. Her eyes were glistening as she held a hand out for me which I took. She helps me up and I sit next to her and watch as she strums her guitar.
"Working on a new song?" I ask.
"That and it's peaceful up here and it's good to take a breather," she whispered.
"This, this was mum and dad's secret place sis. Dad told me that the roof of the Astronomy tower was where they shared all their secrets and confessions with one another," I smile.
It grew silent between us.
"Can... can it be our secret place giant," Kiana asks.
"You, you called me giant," I smile.
"Well you did call me munchkin," she said shyly.
"I love you munchkin," I said.
"I love you to giant," she said.
"Sing for me," I ask.
Kiana sent me a small smile as she sent me a quick nod.
I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself
Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did,
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that farBecause of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraidI lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake
A smile, a laugh everyday of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start withBecause of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraidI watched you die
I heard you cry every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry in the middle of the night
For the same damn thingBecause of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I try my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraidBecause of you
Because of youHer eyes met mine as she sang the last three words. With my thumbs I wiped her tears away. I wrap an arm over her shoulder and pull her in for a hug as she cries on my shoulder and I return the emotion.
My little sister had written a song that explained what was going on. I didn't realize that she had all this pressure on her with coming back to school and being back.
How unfair it was of her to see me die in front of her eyes whereas I woke up and she wasn't there.
"Kay, I am so sorry for not being there for you," I sob. "I love you munchkin."
"I love you giant."
