"So I have snacks and soda" Scarlett ran down the stairs with a large messenger bag hanging off her shoulder.

Elijah spun around as he heard her feet gallop down each step. "I'm starting to think you're only seeing this as a road trip"

"You can't fight any witch off if you're really hungry" she said, rummaging through her bag "I hope you don't mind but I went into your special fridge" she pulled out a blood bag "don't want a repeat of yesterday do we?"

Elijah hated to admit it, but she was fully prepared. It was surprising.

Her curled hair draped over the thick scarf she had wrapped around her neck, a matching suede Moto jacket covered her torso, and she also wore black fingerless gloves.

Elijah walked up to her, pulling one side of her jacket open, sliding in a wooden stake and a carved dagger "only use these if and when I say so"

Scarlett closed her jacket and tried to get used to the metal rubbing against the thin fabric of her shirt. "Okay" she smile, quickly jumping on to her toes and kissing Elijah swiftly.

Was this a normal thing now? By the looks of it Scarlett didn't mind everyone knowing, since Freya, Niklaus and everybody else they knew were there.

Freya gave a quick smile "I knew it" she said before walking to do her daily tasks

Scarlett shrugged the comment off and carried on "I shoved these shoes on because I can run in them, and nothing in the bag is too valuable, I can leave it if things go wrong"

"Well if you're ready then, we'll be on our way" Elijah said, lifting the bag from Scarlett and carrying it out himself.

Scarlett followed shortly behind.

It was a half an hour drive to the warehouse where Elijah had scheduled the meeting. The wheels of the black car made a small noise as Elijah turned and pulled up on some pebbles.

Scarlett bent down and grasped the handle of her bag when Elijah stopped her. "I'd probably leave that in here"

"What, you think the witch would eat our food?" She laughed, letting go and hopping out of the car, the nervousness she was feeling only worsened her addiction to feeling so alive. It was the butterflies that ran through her stomach and the tingling feeling she felt in her finger tips. It was the way her breath deepened and her eyes narrowed, it was everything. Everything she felt when the adrenaline rushed through her. Everything she felt just at the slightest look at Elijah.

The doors that lead inside were large and the metal had rusted over, making it almost impossible for any human to even move it. Fortunately, Elijah was no human.

He unlatched the door, the sound echoing throughout the empty, dark rooms.

"I can't see a thing" Scarlett observed as she looked deeply into the room, her shoes just touching the boundary.

"Are you sure you still want to do this?" Elijah asked, hoping she'd refuse and return to the car without a word.

"Are you kidding?" She chuckled to herself "big dark warehouse, I don't want to miss this"

She stepped forward, and was the first one in, followed by Elijah.

"Stay close" he whispered as he reached his hand out to feel for her, his eyesight allowed him to see in the dark, but she couldn't see a thing.

"I think I see a light" Scarlett tugged on his suit sleeve as the flicker of a candle grew larger and larger until they were stood in the middle of dozens. "Where is she exactly?"
