Chapter 3

"Stop you're hurting me!"

" Get up you stupid bitch! I'm not done with you yet!"

All I hear is screaming. I try to move but I can't, I feel paralyzed. The screams become louder as time passes. I try moving again but I feel like 100 pound weights are holding me down. I didn't even realize I was crying until a sob escapes my mouth. My heart starts pounding as I hear footsteps coming towards my door.

" No don't touch her!" The women cried.

My room door creeks open and from the corner of my eye I could see a dark figure approaching me.

"Hello darling"

I jolt awake and I can feel my heart racing. My dreams are starting to become more realistic. I should have listened to Louis and took my medicine. I look over at my alarm clock and see that it's 5 o'clock and I have to be up in a hour to get ready for class. I end up spending that hour thinking about everything that has happened to me. I wish things were easier but sadly that isn't possible. What's done is done and I need to leave it in the past. If only it was that easy.

I should probably start getting ready for my classes before I'm late. Thank god it's Friday. I take a quick shower and put on my favorite shirt and a pair of leggings. Louis picks me up earlier then usual so I didn't have time to eat or make coffee. I'm gonna have to stop by the coffee shop on campus.

" How are you feeling? You look tired." Louis asks as soon as I get in the car.

" Well thanks " I say sarcastically.

Louis eyes widened " No, no I didn't mean it like that."

" I'm fine I just had a rough night" I say chuckling softly

" What happened babe?"

" Nothing I just had another nightmare."

" Have you been taking your meds?"

" Yes, but not frequently"

I can see Louis scowl at my from the corner of my eye making me feel even worse. I know he cares but there's nothing he can do. Louis is my best friend and he's taken care of me since the accident. I can tell it hurts him to see me this way.

" Have you thought about going back to therapy?"

" No I'm getting better it's just going to take some time."

" Okay well enough of that, it's Friday!"

" I know! thank god"

" Are we doing something tonight or are you going to the party that Niall guy invited you too?"

" Oh crap! I forgot about that"

" Then you shouldn't go and hangout with me " Louis says with a cheesy smile.

" Yeah we'll see." I say as we pull up to campus.

" Thank you for diving me I'll text you later." I lean over and  kiss his cheek before getting out. I hurriedly make my way over to the coffee shop on campus before my class starts.

When I walk in I'm thankful the line isn't as long as expected. Everything on the menu sounds appetizing but It's probably because I'm hungry. I decide on ordering a white chocolate mocha and a toasted blue berry bagel. As I pull out my money to pay someone from behind me hands the cashier their card.

" Can you add an expresso and a chocolate muffin to that please."

" No, no it's fine I can pay for it myself."

" Its fine love, it's on me."

" Okay your order will be out shortly, can I have your name please?" The cashier asked politely

" It's Zayn" We walk over to a small corner table and wait for our order.

" Thank you, I'll make it up to you I promise."

" You can make it up to me by saying yes to dinner with me tonight." he says with a smirk

" oh, um I'm sorry but I already planned on going to this party I was invited to tonight."

"No problem, we can go to the party after"

I debate on if I should go. I know Louis doesn't really want me going to this party anyways, plus Louis wants to do something tonight. Louis better be thankful I'm giving up dinner date with someone like Zayn.

As I'm about to make up an excuse Zayn cuts me off "Great, I'll pick you up at your place at around 7 o'clock"

" umm...okay sounds good"

" Zayn, your order is ready!"

We walk over to grab our order and I thank Zayn once more for my food.

" Sophie wait! Can I have your number? So I can contact you and you can send me your address"

"Yeah, of course"

We exchange numbers and then I hurry to my first class wondering how tonight will turn out.
