Avalerya i gorn" *'Restrain the dwarf"* Legolas ordered two of his men as he struggled to take Arenna from Kili's protective, and strong arms. The dwarves around him screamed in rage when he finally succeeded in removing Renn's limp body from Kili. In the arms of a six and a half foot elf, Arenna looked even more frail than before. All signs of the elf's previous enmity were now gone and concern took their place. He examined Renn's sleeping face with a gentleness and familiarity that caused Kili's blood boil and the Company to silence in confusion. The raven haired dwarf struggled against his restrainers as the elf slowly lowered Arenna to the forest floor to better assess her.
Legolas put his ear to Arenna's chest, relieved to find a heartbeat no matter how faint, then looked back up to Kili, "Where is Dishna?" he asked hurriedly. Kili's expression only showed anger and confusion. What was a Dishna?
"Dishna, her feyanim!" Legolas asked exasperatedly, his frustration mounting with each passing second but the dwarves had no answer. Kili's eyes narrowed, What did this elf know about her that he did not? Had they not spent hours talking? Had he not told her everything about himself? A deep dark jealousy bloomed in his chest that this elf may know about her past, and about her thoughts that Kili wondered so much about. That she may feel safe enough with this pixie to share herself. Another layer of fury poured into Kili's chest as an image of the elf embracing Arenna popped unwantedly in his mind. A terrible, possessive anger rose within Kili, it was a rage that he, as a dwarf, was prone to feel. However as the elf shakily lifted the back of Arenna's shirt, Kili's anger quickly subsided and terror took its place. In the Goblin tunnels Renn's insignaterra had shown so brilliantly that Kili had been convinced she carried the moon and sun on her back, but now, now the mark was faded. The trees barely shimmered, and were mainly outlined in pale white skin that strongly resembled scars. The company now understood just how close Arenna was to dying and gasps of horror issued from many of them.
Legolas cursed and turned to Thorin. "Why did you lead her into the forest!" he bit out, but his words fell on deaf ears. Thorin's eyes moved from Arenna's quickly fading back to his nephew's pale face. He knew Kili cared for the girl but was now only beginning to perceive the depth of his nephew's affection. Thorin turned back to Legolas frantically, "Can you save her?" he asked, desperate that Kili would not endure the same sorrow that had followed him through his own life.
