"God, Lexi. Why did you do that?" Luk demanded.

"I just wasn't thinking!" she screamed back. "I didn't- ugh!"

"Let it go," he commanded, continuing to walk.

She followed Luk, still trying to explain everything that happened between Hunter and her.

"What about the cops?" Lexi asked, giving up on him.

"They'll notice I haven't been coming to work and that it was a bullet from my gun that hit Hunter and they'll come looking for us."

"Great. You're gonna loose your job and I'm gonna get thrown in jail," Lexi said, collapsing on the ground beside an oak tree.
