Yoona really wanted to style her hair but with only her small make-up kit in her bag, she couldn't so much of anything, so she just let it down.
Although Ji-yong's vanity was so much bigger than her own, (oh wow, celebrities!) she wasn't comfortable using his stuff so she just made do with her own stuff. She hated relying on people for anything and so if she wanted to own something, she paid for it with her own money. She didn't like others paying for her, and didn't like women who seem to thrive on men paying for their stuff, but 'to each her own, I guess' she says to herself.
And she was proud to be a self-made woman. She went out and grabbed her bag and noted Ji-yong's look of appreciation at her final look. "Are you ready?" Ji-yong said, "Let's go" and he offered his arm.Jiyong said teasingly, "I don't think you still need to go shopping, right? Am I right?"
Yoona laughed and said, "I liked your styling tonight. I might as well keep the clothes..." she teased him back. They had fun going to the basement and teased each other the whole time.
The two of them were finally in Seoul's shopping district, Gangnam, and Yoona headed straight to the designer shops right away. She shopped efficiently and only bought what she needed. Tonight, she chose a turtleneck sweater, and after trying it on she decided to buy it and and then went out to look for shoes.
Yoona went to the counter to pay for it when Ji-yong raised an eyebrow and looked at his watch, "Uhm - that only took 2 seconds, are you sure you don't anything else?" he teased.
Yoona scoffed but answered, "I just need the sweater and then I'm going to buy more comfy shoes...like I said, I might keep the clothes..." then laughed. Ji-yong watched her laugh and he smiled. Yoona took out her wallet to pay but the saleslady was already handing Ji-yong's card back to him. He noticed her black look so he hurried to explain, "Look, it was my fault that your dress was ruined, so let me pay for your sweater at least, okay?"
Yoona sighed and looked at him for a long time, as if gauging his offer but finally said, "Fine...thanks for my sweater..." then grabbed the bag and walked out.
Ji-yong laughed and half-ran to catch up with her. "What's the matter?" "I just don't like when other people are paying for me" she shrugged. Jiyong was thoughtful before he answered. 'Wow, what did she go through to be so suspicious of people who buy her things' but he just said, "Well, just think of it this way, the sweater will be payment for cooking me breakfast..."
Yoona suddenly stopped walking so he backtracked a bit. She cocked her head to the side and said, "Okay, fine. Then I'll gladly accept your payment. But - only this time!" she said more calmly.
Ji-yong smiled gladly and said, "Well then on that note, I have to pay for ruining your dress too! And pay you for saving my life!"
Yoona's mouth hung open and she couldn't believe how she practically dug her own grave with that one. Madly frustrated, she wanted to stamp her foot on the pavement but that would only serve to make her look immature, besides there were a lot of people on the streets.
'Wait, what?!' she looked around and sure enough. The streets of Gangnam were swollen with people, either to shop or party and Ji-yong was in the middle of the throng. 'Oh no!!' she thought as she looked at him.
