Maika was in heaven.
She couldn't believe her luck - GD was relaxing poolside! She knew then that all the money she spent in stalking him, has now paid off. Here, she can freely follow him around and no one would be the wiser.
She primped herself one last time and casually bumped into him while he was bending to get his phone from the lounge chair. When GD turned to look at her, her heart just stopped and she couldn't breathe. 'Oppa, you're so handsome!!!' Maika thought.GD didn't even stay to talk to her but it was okay, 'I'll make him fall for me...' she said in her mind while she watched his retreating back. She wanted to run to him and ask him why he was being such a tease when she noticed body guards suddenly appearing to walk beside him.
'Tsk' she bit her fingers. 'You'll see...you don't know what I'm capable of...' she turned on her heel and went to her room.
Yoona put away the remaining kimchi that her mom brought. When she got home, and was properly welcomed and hugged, her mom ushered her to the kitchen. They cooked a lot since everyone was hungry.
Yoona didn't mind because she actually missed her mom's cooking, specially her favorite, one of Daegu's own, ttarogukbap, which was as spicy as it was delicious."Yoona, come..let's have coffee..." Young-mi, Yoona's mother called.
Yoona grimaced for a second but her mom laughed and said, "I saw that! Come here and stop stalling!" She didn't have any more excuses for tarrying so she sighed and sat down on the couch opposite her parents.
The younger ones were off doing their own things so she was left alone with them in the living room.
'Great job guys - way to go and leaving me in the snake pit-' she didn't notice that she was pouting.
"Are we that horrible for you to be making that face?" her dad asked but he was laughing. Her dad, Jung-ho, was in his mid-50s, still lean and very athletic, was a thriving business man. Together with his wife, they own and operate a successful chain of homey restaurants around Daegu. Although they were not rich, they were not poor either and Yoona was quite content to have them as her parents. They taught her the value of hard work and a keen mind for business.
Yoona just rolled her eyes at her father so her mom swatted her arm playfully.
They shared a good laugh but then her father turned serious.
"What happened?" Jung-ho asked his daughter.
Yoona told them.
As bad as it sounded, she surprised herself by not crying.
'Weird, I thought I would be bawling by now...' she thought.
But the more she thought on it, she realized that even just her parents' presence gave her the comfort that she was seeking right now. They talked and planned through out the night and only said goodnight at 11:30.
When Yoona was about to sleep, her phone rang.
