Hey everyone. I hope you enjoy my first Kagehina fanfiction. Thanks in advance for reading ^^

Everyone watched on as the Karasuno duo did one of their freak quicks, scoring themselves the final point of the game. The other team looked disappointed. Hinata ran up to his teammates and high-fived them. Except Kageyama. When he attempted to, Kageyama just glared and turned away. "Oh c'mon Kageyama!" Hinata shouted, following him. "We just won!" Hinata said, smiling. Kageyama just looked at him once again, rolling his eyes. He held his hands up reluctantly. Hinata hit them happily. Sugawara ushered them both over to the coach.

"Congratulations everyone! This game was played extremely well, but you only won 25-23, on the third set after both teams had already won a set. You might need to step up your game a bit. But we couldn't have done it without Hinata and Kageyama's new quick which they have practised a lot recently." Coach Ukai explained, and some of the members applaud politely. Hinata smiled brightly towards Kageyama. Of course, he didn't smile back. Look at that smile. It's like the sun. Kageyama thought. He thought he may like Hinata, but he couldn't be sure. Weren't we just friends? Just teammates? He thought. He had no clue what his sexuality was, but Hinata was just making the problem of figuring it out worse. He didn't exactly like boys too much, but he didn't really feel anything towards girls either. Maybe he was asexual. Who knew. But there's still Hinata. Kageyama thought.

"Oi. Earth to Kageyama." He heard a slight voice through his thoughts. He shook his head. His eyes focused on Hinata, who was awkwardly waving his hands in front of Kageyama's face to get his attention.

"Oh sorry, Hinata." He said. They begun walking out of the building, following the rest of the team out the door. Then Hinata let out a loud gasp, surprising Kageyama. "What?" Kageyama asked, slightly worried.

"It's just that.. you actually apologised!" Hinata said, giggling. Kageyama shoves Hinata, causing him to stumble slightly. "Oh Kageyama, that hurt." He said, fake sad.

"Oh, what a shame." Kageyama replied sarcastically. He walked out the door, Hinata following him and dragging his feet along the ground.

"Are we gonna walk home together?" Hinata asked, stepping in front of Kageyama.

"Well, we do usually so I think we would still do it tonight." Kageyama said, voice once again sarcastic. Hinata pauses for a second.

"Can you wait for me at the front gate? I.. uh.. left something in my classroom." Hinata said. Kageyama could practically smell the lie from a mile away.

"Do you want me to get it for you?" He asked. Hinata shook his head violently.

"No, no. I'll be back as soon as I can." Hinata said, running off. But he was running opposite to where his class was. Kageyama decided he'll follow him, just to see what he's doing. When the rest of the team left, he ran to where Hinata was aiming towards. He was pretty sure he could easily spot Hinata's bright orange hair, so he wasn't really worried. He was right. As Kageyama turned the corner, he spotted Hinata talking to a girl he didn't recognise. Kageyama's heart skips a beat. He couldn't hear the conversation clearly, but heard bits and pieces.

"..I tried my best.."

"..you could get so out of breath from just.."

"..you deserved it.."

He could see Hinata smile. Why was he giving this beaming smile to a girl that didn't even seem to know him that well? The girl said something, blushed then looked down. Hinata shook his head nervously then said something Kageyama couldn't decipher. The girl then muttered something angry. Then something unexpected happened. Well, it seemed to only be unexpected to Kageyama. The girl leant forward and kissed Hinata straight on the lips. Kageyama's breath audibly caught in his throat. He felt his heart break. Well, not literally. If your heart actually broke, you'd probably die straight away. So, figuratively, Kageyama felt his heart break. When the girl finally pulled away, Hinata had this half-dazed, half-amazed smile plastered onto his face. It was as if the girl herself had planted it with her lips. The wonderful smile is there again. "Thanks again, Hinata." The girl said, walking the opposite direction to Kageyama. Hinata stood still, as the wind blew gently through his vibrant hair. Kageyama was also standing still, but in shock at what he just witnessed. Hinata started moving towards him before he could process he needed to get out of here before Hinata saw him. He was too late. Hinata walked past him, his head down. Then he stopped a few metres behind Kageyama. He turned and made direct eye contact with Hinata.

"Kageyama..?" Hinata asked innocently, slightly shaken. Kageyama blinked a few times.

"Yeah.. yes." Kageyama answered. Hinata bit his lip awkwardly.

"Did.. Did you see that?" He asked worriedly. Kageyama decided to play innocent.

"What do you mean?" Kageyama asked, "I just got here because you were taking too long. I.. um.. began to worry." He finished. Well, it was half true.

"Oh, okay. Let's start walking home, then." Hinata said, seeming relieved. Kageyama almost felt bad for him. Almost. When they arrived at Hinata's house, he waved bye to Kageyama and entered it. The rest of the walk to Kageyama's was him constantly thinking of the girl kissing Hinata. Were they dating? What were they doing before Kageyama arrived? What were they talking about? Did they like each other? These questions and more plagued his mind for the rest of the night.
