A/N: This is it. The last chapter. I didn't really have any clue what I was writing the whole time because it was like 3am but at least I tried. Enjoy reading.

Kageyama turned around and made eye contact with the orange haired male. "Um.. Hinata." He replied, trying to avoid all contact with him. He began to walk away, but Hinata grabbed onto his wrist.

"Don't just leave me like that." Hinata said simply. Kageyama saw tears form in Hinata's eyes.

"Hinata. I had my reasons." Kageyama replied simply. He was trying not to ask Hinata why he was crying, though the guilt was eating him up inside.

"Your reasons were to get revenge on me. You did this all because I dated Tamiko when the truth is I never really loved her!" Hinata confessed. He looked around to make sure no one else was around. Luckily they were alone. Kageyama felt shock rush through him. He was surprised at the truth on Tamiko, but didn't want to say anything about the 'revenge'.

"No. You're wrong." Kageyama stated.

"Kageyama! I know you're lying. Please stop." Hinata replied, the tenseness of tears grabbing onto his chest. Kageyama took a deep breath in.

"Fine. You're right. I was just angry and upset you started dating this girl to make me feel bad. I had to distance myself from you otherwise I wouldn't end up feeling any better." Kageyama admitted. Hinata took a deep breath in.

"Kageyama, I-" He began, but he hiccuped, cutting him off.

"Wait, Hinata. What happened to Tamiko? She is your girlfriend." Kageyama asked, genuinely confused.

"Was," Hinata corrected, "I broke up with her. You're who I like more."
Then Hinata smiled.

There it is.

The smile of the sun. The one that feels as if it is just enveloping me in warmth. The smile that is just so ecstatic and wonderful it actually makes me want to smile. I don't normally smile, but Hinata makes me want to. He looks so pleasing when he smiles. As if all the world's beauty has been converted into this one singular smile. He smiles like this all the time, but I have never had the time to admire it like I can now. Whenever he hits for a point in volleyball, whenever one of our teammates does something stupid, whenever I throw him a toss. He smiles like this. It's beautiful.

It's radiant.

Kageyama thought all this. He rolled his eyes. "You dumbass." He said, laughing ever so slightly.

"Kageyama, you're laughing." Hinata said, stating the obvious. But it was kind of unusual.

"I know." Kageyama replied. Before Hinata knew it, Kageyama had a slender, comforting hand wrapped around his waist. A sudden loud thunder clap made Hinata jump, pushing himself closer towards Kageyama. Hinata felt a water droplet land on his arm, many more following. Neither boys moved, finding comfort from the rain with each other. The water dripping from Kageyama's hair landed on Hinata's face as they made eye contact. Soon both boys were drenched, rain falling heavily around them. It was silent apart from the rain falling.

They both knew they may get sick from this, but neither cared.

Sure, it was cold, but neither cared.

Someone may be looking, maybe judging them. But neither cared.

They stared at each other, not caring about a thing. Kageyama was the one to break their silence.

"Hinata, I think I'm in love with you." He said simply, slightly confused in himself. Hinata couldn't help but laugh at this. His eyes began to water lightly and he stared at Kageyama directly. He smiled.

"I'm in love with you too, Kageyama." Hinata replied. He knew what was coming. He felt Kageyama's lips press against his. Kageyama stopped for a second, as if waiting for approval. A quick nod of Hinata's head was all it took. Kageyama kissed Hinata fully. It lasted a long while. His lips are as soft as I remember them. Kageyama thought.

Hinata thought about how the rain was kinda like Kageyama. Rain was bad in some cases, making people angry or annoyed because it stopped them from doing things. But looked at closer, it's quite beautiful. You begin to notice how nice it is.

Kageyama was the one to pull away.

"We should get inside. Just until the rain clears. Then we could.. uh.." He began, his face filling with a blush. Hinata smiled.

"We could go to my house. Your parents won't mind, right?" Hinata asked. Kageyama nodded. He pulled Hinata under a shelter nearby and they both sat down, completely soaked. Kageyama looked at Hinata, who was wiping his face and sniffling. Hinata looked back with tears in his eyes.

"Wait. Hinata, are you crying?" Kageyama said. He thought it might be the rain, but Hinata had just wiped his face.

"I guess." He said, smiling as he cries more. "I.. I'm just really-" sniff, "-happy." He said. Kageyama awkwardly hugged him, trying to make him feel better. "You're not very good at comforting people, are you?" Hinata asked, laughing. Kageyama pulled away.

"Well, romance and supportiveness aren't really my forte." He said. And Hinata smiled again.

Then Kageyama kissed him again.

No warning or anything, he just kissed him. But Hinata didn't mind, of course. He kissed back with equal force. He pulled back, then grabbed Kageyama's hand in his own. He looked at the rain. Kageyama really does remind me of the rain.

But as soon as he thought this, the rain stopped, and the clouds cleared, revealing the bright sun. Just to perfect the moment, colours slowly filled the sky, forming a small rainbow. Kageyama sighed.

This is so cliché. The rain falling, the kiss in the rain, the rainbow. It's all so cliché, but it's still perfect. he thought.

Hinata smiled at Kageyama, and it felt like it was bringing him warmth. Hinata's smile was really like the sun. So, Hinata is pretty much the human embodiment of the sun.

And that's what they were.

Separated they were pretty good, though each with their own flaws.

Kageyama was the rain.

Hinata was the sun.

Together they created beautiful things.

A/N:

This is probably the most anticlimactic ending ever and I bet you're all disappointed as hell I'm sorry

BUT OTHER THAN THAT there we go. I really hope you've enjoyed reading this as much as I've enjoyed writing it. Thank you for all your support, especially those who have commented and voted on all the chapters (you know who you are ^-^)

This is my first completed story, and I'm so, so thankful for anyone who has read it. Thank every single one of you. All the best for your future reads (does that even make sense ??)
