A/N: Two updates in a week yay

wait also don't kill me after this part. I'm sorry in advance. (it's probably not even that bad for you guys oops)

Hinata walked towards his school, Tamiko grabbing onto his arm. He stopped when he got to the gym. "Tamiko, I have to go to volleyball now. Please don't come in today, I.. just need to practise without any distractions." Hinata said. Tamiko looks taken aback for a second, then covered it with a smile.

"Of course Shouyou! See you after school! I don't want to distract you at lunch because you need to be with friends. I don't want do be one of those ultra-clingy girlfriends, do I? Bye Shouyou!" She exclaims, flipping her short brown hair. She waved one more time before running off. Hinata sighed and stepped into the gym. Everyone was there, already practicing.

"Hinata, you're finally here." Sugawara said. Hinata looked around, realising something important was missing.

Someone important.

"Hey, do any of you know where Kageyama is?" Hinata asked. He saw Nishinoya whisper something to Tanaka. Then he laughed. Sugawara glared at them and they shut up.

"Wait, you're right. Daichi." He said, getting the captain's attention. "Did Kageyama tell you he's not coming in or anything?" He asked. Daichi shook his head.

"Nope. Did anyone else?" He asked. Everyone shook their head. Hinata couldn't help but feel slightly worried.

"Well, let's just get onto practise as usual. Maybe he's sick but just forgot to tell us." Sugawara said. Tanaka nodded. Hinata felt like something was missing. Obviously Kageyama was missing, but something more was making him feel uneasy.

"Yeah, that's probably it. He forgets everything." Tanaka said. Everyone started playing, but there was a tenseness in the air. No one mentioned it, but they all definitely felt it. The time passed fast, so they all got to class. Hinata was thinking about Kageyama all day. It was then lunch. He walked out of his room, his instincts taking him directly to Kageyama's class. He stopped halfway when he remembered that Kageyama probably wasn't even at school. But as he walked back he bumped into a familiar person.

"Sorr- Kageyama?" He asked. Kageyama tensed up and looked directly to Hinata. He then walked away as fast as he could. "Kageyama, wait a second!" Hinata shouted, but Kageyama was long gone. He sighed again, walking back to his own class. He ate his lunch in silence, wishing Kageyama would talk to him.

Kageyama nervously hit the keys, knowing this message would end everything he loved. He put emotion into it, just in the off-chance Hinata would read it. I'm sorry, Hinata. He thought. He clicked send. The message came, showing him that there was no turning back now. Read, 1:09 PM.

Eventually all Hinata's classes passed and it was volleyball time again. Hinata was early this time, with only Daichi, Sugawara and Asahi already there. They all looked upset, but Hinata didn't know why. "Hey guys, what's wrong?" He asked. Daichi looked at him.

"Oh, we'll tell you once the others get here." He responded, with a sad undertone.

"Oh.. okay." Hinata said. Something was wrong. Very wrong. Hinata's chest felt heavy and he didn't feel well. Tanaka and Nishinoya entered loud, but they both felt the solemness in the air and - surprisingly - shut up. Tsukishima entered a few minutes later, Yamaguchi following close behind. Slowly, everyone else eventually arrived, all staying surprisingly silent. Kageyama didn't arrive, and Hinata started theorising what could have be wrong.

"Everyone, please gather here." Daichi said. The team formed a circle around him. He glanced towards Sugawara and he nodded. Daichi took a breath in.

"I.. um.. got a message from Kageyama during lunch. He has told me he is quitting volleyball."
