The eyes of my love are deeper than the seas grasping at the horizon
The most beautiful sunset cannot compare to their splendor
It's as though god molded his speckled sapphires to capture a soul
His pupils dilate and pull me into a world of divine trustHis voice echoes through my dreams and calls to my breaks and pains
It reverberates through my chest and deep in my soul
But sings softly to my heart when I am broken
It flutters to my thoughts and grapples with the demons there at warHis laughter is constant and bellowing when we are together
His mind is sharp and houses the most beautiful secrets
His soul is as vibrant as the sky after the darkest of storm and it shines like fresh fallen snowBut his heart is tying its own noose
He cares so deeply yet hurts so intensely
He loves so hard but is so broken and crumpledBut this was not a curse inflicted upon himself
It grew from a home broken like the shattered beer bottles scattered on its dusty floorsThe bruises he hides leave their mark somewhere deep below his skin
This is not a fault of his own but that he does not believeHe's become so fragile, like the moth dwindling near the flame
And I fear, oh lord do I fear that one day he'll get too closeAnd then he'll be gone
