The next morning, I awoke, a little nervous. Hopefully Macy wouldn’t kill me. I grabbed my bag and ran outside, too nervous to eat. I let Aurora and Blackheart out of their paddock, so they could go back to the normal stables while I was gone.

“I probably won’t be back for a while, guys.” I told them.

“I’ll miss you, Destiny.” Aurora told me.

“Make sure you kill some monsters for me,” Blackheart added cheerfully.

Smiling, I ran to the Big House, where Macy, Arianna, and Nico were waiting for me. Macy was holding a duffel bag, and what looked like a hot pink beauty bag. Rolling my eyes, I turned to see what Arianna had packed. She too had a duffel bag, same with Nico, along with his guitar. Macy was armed with a bow, Arianna a celestial bronze knife, Nico had a stygian iron blade, black, and about 3-4 feet long. I guess I didn’t need a weapon, as I was a goddess.

Chiron walked out of the Big House, with a smile on his face. “I remember when I sent Percy on his first quest..” he reminded us. Then his face turned serious. “Be safe, Macy and Arianna.”

They nodded, and….we were off! It was strange to walk out of the border already. I had just came to Camp Half-Blood yesterday!

I turned to Nico. “Any idea where we should go?”

He frowned, thinking. “I would say New York City….but I have a feeling that’s not right. What do you think?”

Now I too, was deep in thought. “Oh! Highland is the nearest rural area from New York City. Want to start there?”

Nico nodded,” That sounds perfect. It’s an hour and a half ride from Manhattan.”

Macy rolled her eyes. “Then let’s get going!”

Arianna nodded, her blackish-brown hair flowing in the wind. “Let’s take a bus.”

Our bus ride was, surprisingly, quiet and smooth. It was likely no monsters wanted to mess with us, since we did have the son of Hades, and a goddess. The bus ride was going slowly, and softly, slower, slower, slower, and I grew sleepy, sleepy, sleepy………

I yawned as I woke, only to find the bus empty except for us. I walked up to the driver’s seat, and glancing at the calendar. I looked again.

“Oh my gods,” I gasped, turning back to our group. “Wake up!” I screamed. “Wake up!”

They awoke, gasping and sighing, as I did. “It…..it…..it…..” Nico started.

“How did this happen?!” I exploded. “How?” I held back a tear.

                “It’s …….2062?!” Macy screamed.

“It’s been fifty years since we left. Fifty!” Arianna cried. “I’ll never be with Jake. He’s an old man by now.”

Macy glared at her. “We’ve been sleeping on a bus for fifty years and that’s the first thing you think of?!” She accused.

Nico just stood, his mouth gaping open. “Rachel,” he whispered.

I, too, wanted to cry, but I knew there was something more important to do. We had to go outside.

“It’ll be okay,” I reassured them. “Just go outside with me.”

They followed me outside. I really didn’t know why we were going outside, there was just a feeling that something was waiting there for me.

There were two people standing outside. One was a beautiful girl, with black hair, and brown eyes.

“Hello. My name is Zoë. I can explain everything if you give me time.

I stepped forward. “Destiny. Goddess born of the two newest gods, Percy and Annabeth.

Her eyebrows rose. “Oh? I believe I knew them. Percy Jackson? Annabeth Chase? They’ve become gods, have they?”

                I nodded. “Yes.”

“Anyways, I need to explain. I apologize for that forty seven year nap. I didn’t think it was necessary, but he…..anyway, boys.” She rolled her eyes. “So useless.”

Nico was shuffling uncomfortably in the background, as if he had something to say, but didn’t quite know how to say it.

“Ah, Nico.” Zoë smiled. “It has been a long time, my friend.”

Nico gave her a weak smile. “Yes. It has.” His voice was weak, and I listened into his thoughts. They were dark and angry, as if he were a boy again.

Yeah, the last time I saw her was Bianca’s death! How’d she even come back anyway?

Zoë looked back at him. “But I’m afraid you have to leave. These demigods must find out for themselves what we are like. Goodbye.”

Nico slowly faded away, but not before adding, “I’ll tell Chiron you’re okay.”

Zoë smiled, a giggle almost on her lips. “No, he won’t. Once you are done, you’ll go right back to the time period you came from. He simply went to a lovely place until we are finished.

Clearing my throat, I asked, “With his sister, Bianca?”

She nodded. “She was a lovely girl, Destiny. It should have been me, though I suppose it was. Anyway, I must explain. It was necessary to bring you forward fifty years from you were born. Do you remember your prophecy?”

                I nodded, and recited it.

“There will be a child born on a Sunday

Of two famous heroes, and this child will not

Be the cause of a huge dismay.

That will come after, when it has discovered it's fear

And the child will live, immortal at bay.

Fifty years will pass

The child finds someone new.

Fall in love, do the lad and the lass.

The child makes up the wildest decision.

Love and war, what's not to do?”

Zoë nodded. “Are you time for your dismay?”

I shook my head. “Um, no.”

She frowned. “Too bad, honey. You need to be ready before you go on. You have precisely a minute before you get to fight. It will not be a world dismay, just a fight. A big fight. Good luck!’

I turned to Macy and Arianna. “You girls know how to fight?” They nodded, and I took a deep breath. There was a rustling noise, and then they were there.
