***Okay, everyone, I know I said the 10th was the date it was due, but I came up with an idea, so I'm SO SORRY but I'm not using any of yours. I'm just going to dedicate a chapter to everyone that entered. And AmyLove98, for doing her best to come up with ideas. We were both stumped. She helped me by reminding me about the Percy Jackson ministory The Sword Of Hades. That's kind of where this idea comes from. This chapter is going to wow you, so prepare for takeoff. 5,4, 3, 2.....***

They? Can I even call them that? You know what was there? It was….two dogs? I glanced up at the other person there. He was a tall, surfer-dude looking blonde guy.

“W-what?” I asked him.

“First of all my name’s Luke. Luke Castellan.”

My voice got a bit edgy, as I was still trying to process the dogs. “Okay, Luke.” I snapped. “Why are there random dogs? I thought I was supposed to fight a monster or something…?”

Luke snorted. “Puh-leeze. You’re a goddess, Destiny. You really think that a monster would be a good dismay for you?”

I shrugged. How was I supposed to know?

“And by the way, they’re not normal dogs. How is it that you can’t see through the mist?”

My eyeballs grew large. “B-but I can!” I argued.

Luke shook his head. “Not with this, anyway. They’re not dogs, Destiny. They’re hell-hounds.”

Suddenly, I could see them clearly. Hell-hounds. I remembered my dad telling me about his pet once. Mrs. O’Leary.

“Oh,” I whispered.

Luke smiled, and his brilliant smile shone. “If you can stop them from shadow-traveling you to the Underworld, you can go free. Ready? One, Two…..”

The massive dogs started coming closer, and I tried to summon my power, but it just wasn’t there.  I could feel the darkness swallowing me in, and it was so black. I couldn’t see a thing.

At last we were there, and I could see again. This place was familiar with me, as I’d visited Great Uncle Hades here many times. We were at one of the scariest places in the Underworld, at least to me. The River Lethe. The River of Forgetfulness. Suddenly, what they were planning to do to me registered.

“Oh no!” I shouted. “Oh Gods No!” Luke looked at me with a gleam in his eye. After a second, it disappeared, and he spoke to me in a reassuring voice.

                “Shh….It’s okay, Destiny.”

I glared at him. “No, Luke. No, it’s really not. Where are you going to take me, once you’ve wiped my brain out?”

“High school.” I raised my eyebrow.

“But Mom and Dad will come save me, right? Harry, too?”

Luke shook his head. “This is more powerful than any of them. It’s about destiny. This is about your destiny, Destiny. You get to choose.”

I sighed, knowing I wouldn’t have a choice. If I had no chance against the hell-hounds, no way I’d be able to fight the river. Unless……

Zoë appeared, with Macy and Arianna. Macy was walking around, stumbling, and tumbling. “No!” she wailed. “You’re going to hurt me again!”

They get their memory. Of course. Just take away mine and leave them with theirs.

“Can I have one request?” I asked them. “Before you take away my memory?”

Luke looked quizzically at Zoë, and she nodded.

“I want to look at the mirror of Rosalina.” This time, both nodded, and I pulled it out of my pocket, eager to find out this mystery.

I was instantly filled with an image. There was a beautiful woman, holding a baby girl. Hades walked in.

                “Hades!” The woman gushed.

“My lady,” Hades smiled at her.

“Look at our daughter,” The woman sighed.

                “She’s beautiful, Rosalina. Beautiful.”

Rosalina turned towards him. “But what are we going to do? She cannot be the one for the prophecy. It cannot be.”

Hades growled. “And why not?” He roared. “Why do all of these women think that our children shouldn’t be the ones for the prophecy?! Are children of Hades unpowerful?”

Rosalina looked worried. “N-No, my lord.”

Hades snorted. “Just send the child away.” At this I realized they were at the very spot I was. The baby was tossed, heading into the river.

Rosalina caught her just in time. “Please, Hades. Change her. Make her a child of Aphrodite.”

Hades shook his head. “That I cannot do, but I can change her so that she will appear as one. And you will appear as a young girl, forever! This will be your punishment for tricking me!”

“No….” Rosalina sighed. “No. I-I didn’t trick you, my Lord. I didn’t trick you….” Her voice faded out, her body changing to her present form, with her screaming in pain….and I returned to the present.

Smiling at Luke and Zoë, I jumped in, thinking dry, dry, dry! But it didn’t work…

                …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

I woke up on a hospital bed. There were three pretty girls and one handsome guy sitting, waiting in chairs.

“Destiny!” The guy gushed. I rubbed my head, thinking. Oh yes, I was Destiny. I struggled to remember more. I thought about who I was: an orphan? Yes, that sounded right.

“What year is it?” I asked the guy.

“Two thousand Eleven.” I got the distant feeling that while I was asleep, I’d traveled elsewhere.

I yawned, trying to think. “Who are you?”

The girls smiled at me, and introduced themselves as Zoë, Macy, and Arianna. The boy was Luke.

“Can I ask you a question?” They all nodded, smiling.

                “Where am I?”
