Chapter 12. Sirens

A blue and red light shine through my eyes.

"Stop it!"

All of a sudden sirens start as I hear Lydia and mum. Mum is crying!? My eyes shoot wide open as I grab for my dressing gown. I run down the stairs my sight still blurry from sleeping. I feel the shiver down my spine as it wakes me up. Damn the door why is it open and the lights. I realise then the scene I am looking at. There Lydia is all curled up as she is being looked after mum is talking to the police and there are people all around. Lydia looks warn out. The scene in front of me makes me confused as I see the policemen that was talking to my mum walk towards me.

"Hello,mam I am sorry to interrupt but your sister has had a little incident now its alright she is ok but I just wanted to ask you if you knew who the people who left the party after the chaos were?"

Huh I am so confused what is this guy talking about!

"I am sorry I don't know what your... I was here for the whole evening, I only knew Lydia was out. Can someone please explain to me what's going on" I ask as I am shivering.

"Right well... thank you miss I am sorry to disturb you"

As he walk of leaving me clueless he walks back to mum. Mum is nodding as she has stoped crying. The police head back into the car as they drive of. Just them I realise a car behind them. I couldn't tell who it was but my mum gives him a smile as the talk dark man disappears in his car. He looked familiar?

" Nara..."

My thoughts get stoped as mum is talking to me.

"Oh um...lets go inside yeah." I say while I am still distracted. As Lydia enters looking worn out. I close the door behind and lock it turning on the heating on the way sitting down.

"Mum can you please tell me what's going on... I mean police ,Lydia and party..."I get interrupted

"OKAY! You see Lydia was expecting to hang out with Hannah and well...turns out she had a big surprise, it was a party and it got out of control so the police were involved."

" Well...what about Lydia what happened you I..."

"It was him..." Lydia interiors as her bloodshot eyes fall into a drift of tears. I feel a sting as I see my innocent sister cry. What did that jerk do to her! He will pay!

"What...what happened Lydia" I don't realise but I am crying too because I know but I don't want it to be true. Not to her anything but that.

"He...he ab...ABUSED ME, NARA HE USED ME AND HE HURT ME AND..."I run up to her clinging on to her as I feel mum comforting both of her vulnerable daughters. I hear her wailing as her pain hurts me as I hold on to her.

"Frankie he...hurt"I hear her whispering. I coo at her as she calms down. With her face buried into me. Mum hugging us both tightly. Frankie that bitch huh. I swear if he ever lays a finger on her I will beat the shit out of him. I am very capable I took wrestling for five years.

As time passes Lydia is fast asleep. Me and mum gently carry her upstairs as we place her onto her bed. She looks so tired of everything and I was never there for her. I kiss her gently on the forehead as does mum and turn of the lights and head out. As I walk to my room my mum stops me.

"Honey tell that Kendall boy for saving Lydia he is a good guy. Goodnight honey I love you!"

"Alright... Goodnight." She kisses me on the forehead as she goes to bed.

Wait...did she just say KENDALL!!!
