"Guess what?" Lauren came up to Megan and me one morning, ecstatic.

"What?" I asked.

"Volleyball tryouts are after seventh period today! I'm gonna try out." Lauren announced.

"Awesome! I know you're going to knock the coach's socks off." I told her.

"But you've never seen me play," Lauren said.

"I'm a supportive friend." I smiled.

"You'll do great, Lauren." Megan agreed. "Just have faith in yourself."

"Thanks, guys." Lauren smiled. "I'm just really nervous,"

"Don't be. You have nothing to worry about." I assured her.

"Thanks, Carrie."

We all group-hugged each other like the cliche friends we are.

"Oh, and by the way," I said. "I met a super cute boy in my Journalism class!"

"O-M-G, you go girl! What does he look like?" Lauren asked.

"Well, he has strawberry blonde hair and bangs, and he's tall, and he's handsome, and he has a gorgeous tan, and he has dreamy blue eyes." I described. "His name is Jason Reed."

"Wow, that's awesome, Carrie," Megan grinned.

"Hold on, I need a ship name." Lauren said. She paused for a minute, thinking. "Jarrie? Cason? Carson?"

Megan giggled and I blushed.

The three of us went to breakfast with smiles on our faces.

Author's Note:

Hey! Sorry for the short chapter and sorry I haven't updated in FOREVER. It's because I'm simultaneously writing a separate story, called Outcasts, that's not on Wattpad (I'm writing it on Pages so sorry social media readers you can't read it), and it's taking a lot of time away from my story Morph. But be patient with me and just read the updates when I publish them.
