“So what you’re saying is the Alpha pact brought Darach here?”

Scott asked Jordan, the look to disbelief on his face as he stared at her. She nodded, telling him that it’s exactly what she meant. It all had begun making sense to the two of us, we hadn’t thought thoroughly about the situation before Jordan had stated her opinion on the problem at hand.  “What do we do?” He asked both Jordan and I but mainly Jordan because at this point she seemed to have all the answers. As predicted, she just stared back at Scott and not once did they come in contact with mine. My heart aching for her beautiful blue eyes to glance back at me, even if it were for a few seconds.

I had no idea what had gotten into Jordan, she was fine with me one minute the next she can’t even say my name without cringing at the sound of it. To think it was smart of me to actually follow her outside and try to talk her into telling me what had been going through her mind had messed everything up for me once again. Unlike my problem with Lydia, where I had been standing with Jordan was much closer to something more than my chance with any other girl. I felt something real between the two of us but now there was a wall that she had created between her and me that made the idea seem unreal.

“Actually find out what the pact needs exactly,” Jordan stated. “And why.” She shrugged, telling us that she’s only shooting idea and that we didn’t actually have to do that but that’s just what she thought would be best.

“All right,” Scott spoke up before I could.  “Where do we start?” He asked, suddenly depending on Jordan much more than he had before. For the both of us, we were deeply thankful for the beautiful brunette sitting in front of us who had answers to question we had been wondering for so long.

“We should find out who the true Alpha is,” I suggested, hoping that it was something Jordan thought of also. When Jordan had nodded, my huge weight lifted off my shoulders. It had to mean something of some sorts, hopefully.

“And why they need him or her,” Scott nodded his head and he bit down on his thumb, staring at the floor in deep thought.

Besides his constant pacing and low murmurs about who know what, Jordan had been tracing a finger along the binds of books that were stacked in front of her. Her head tilting to the side making her hair appear longer than it already was. Jordan patiently waited for Scott to finish his conversation with his self and return to the one the three of us were having a short while ago.

Her eyes stopping every few seconds to read the tittle that was placed at the side of the book, her eyebrows would furrow at a few but then minutes after would move onto the next one.  Before anything else could have been said, the door had been whipped open revealing a pissed of Derek and a semi-calm Isaac. When Isaac had finally noticed Jordan in the room, his calm façade appeared on his face. “Hi, you must be Jordan.” He introduced, taking two strides to get to the spot where she had been sitting. Extending his arm, his fingers spread out wide waiting for him to take her hand in his. “I’m Isaac.” Jordan gave him a wide grin, putting her hand in Isaac’s shaking it. The tips of her mouth curved up to shape the beautiful smile only I wished she had given me at least once in the past few hours, unfortunately with my luck I wouldn’t be getting one anytime soon.

“It’s nice to meet you, Isaac.” Her voice so sweet, creating a melody that rang through my ears in a sweet symphony only she could create. Alongside that distraction, I watched Isaac swoon over her every feature, making my blood boil between my veins as he admired Jordan in front of her face. Thankfully, Jordan took her hand and eyes away from him and back onto the books once again.

I mentally beat myself up when Isaac had taken a seat beside Jordan, inching closer and closer to her when she had not been looking. I hadn’t even realized that my eyes were narrowing even more by the second until Scott had kicked my foot lightly, giving me a look to calm down. There were moments like these where I had wished we could take telepathically, so I would be able to tell him verbally what my deal was but since it wasn’t scientifically possible, Scott would not know until after this small meeting. “What’s happened?” Scott asked Derek, being the first to question the look on his face.

Derek continued to stand in the same position he had been in since he had walked in with Isaac, his eyes trained on the floor, jaw clenching and unclenching every few seconds. “They know Jordan’s in town,” I rolled my eyes at the fact Isaac had given. Of course they had known, she was already Aidan’s target and he wasn’t going to back down.

“Jordan, stay here. We’re going to talk outside. Stiles stay with her,” he ordered. A weight lifted off my shoulders, happy that he didn’t leave Isaac alone with her but I was still disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to know at the same time as Scott although he would tell me later on.

“I have the right to know!” Jordan yelled, quickly getting onto her feet and shouting after Derek who was already leading the other two boys out onto the porch.

“You will know,” his eyes softened at the sight of Jordan. “Just not now, okay?” Jordan then nodded her head sadly and returned to her position with her legs crossed over one another, not bothering to even look in my direction. She knew I had been staring at her but not once had she asked me why I was even staring at her. Though, my reason would have been cheesy I still wanted her to talk to me in some type of way.

Seeing as though she had no motive to talk to me whatsoever, I suddenly regretted not fighting to join in on their conversation they were having out on the porch. That way I wouldn’t have my heart breaking every second I wasn’t able to talk to her.

The tension that was filling the air around us was eating away at my soul, the silent conversation we were having wasn’t helping it in any way. “Stiles, are you okay?” I gave her a look of shock, not expecting her to say anything to me, let alone be concerned for my well-being. “You’re been biting down on your thumb for the past five minutes, I’m surprised it hasn’t come off yet.” Sure enough, the tip of my thumb was between my teeth. Taking it out of my mouth, I continued to stare at her in shock. Did that mean she was watching me? Since a conversation already has been sparked up, I took this opportunity to talk to her.

“I’m fine,” I said waving my hand, telling her to dismiss the problem. “The main question is, are you okay?” I asked, emphasizing ‘you,’ in which I was worried about her instead of myself.

“Stiles,” she said quietly. But loud enough for me to hear fro where I had been sitting. “I told you already, I’m fine. “ She said in a tone that made it seem like she was trying to pry the information into my head to make me stop asking her whether or not she was okay but it was clear enough that she wasn’t and something was definitely bothering her.

“It doesn’t seem like it,” I murmured hoping she hadn’t heard me but unfortunately, she had because her face contorted into an indescribable look. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, the only thing she had ben moving was her chest due to her slow breathing. Letting out a sigh, she crawled over to where I was sitting. Crossing her legs once again and placing a hand over mine, creating the butterflies I felt back in the car ride here.

“Look,” she said slowly. “Stiles.” Pausing, she bit her lip thinking about the right words to say to me. Whatever was coming out of her mouth was either bad or good and if I could, I would be begging on my knees for the good news. “I…” she trailed off, her eyes moving from my eyes to my lips. She had no shame in staring at them for a little bit longer, which made me give her a smile that I knew she would see for sure. “You…” Taking her fingers, I started to play with them messaging each fingertip. “We…” At this point she had gotten lost in thought and so did I because seconds after I found the both of us leaning in closer, inches away from something I’ve been waiting so long for.

Sadly, the moment didn’t get to happen all thanks to a worried looking Scott who had walked into the room. Making the both of us jump away from each other, realizing that moments before we were about to make physical contact that I’ve been aching for. Unfortunately, now I would have to wait for another right time to come so I would be able to get what I want. All thanks to my frantic best friend who didn't bother to stay out with Derek and Isaac, who seemed to be still conversing out on the porch.

Thanks Scott, thanks.
