“W-what?”
Stiles stuttered, taking in my every word. He gapped at me, his eyes searching for any signs just waiting to come out and say that it was all a joke but I was far from joking, I was most definitely telling the truth. Well I knew that but I’m not so sure Stiles did, the look on his face was giving off the feeling of uncertainty to whether or not he should kiss me. At that point, my heart just broke in half at the hesitation to kiss me. “I get it, you don’t want to kiss me. It’s okay.” I said softly, brushing past him and making my way to the door that would be my exit out of this mess.
“You’re not going to laugh at me?” The amount of shock in his voice could paint a picture at this very moment; I could only imagine all the emotions he was feeling at this moment because I knew for sure I was feeling them also. Turning around, I gave him a look of curiosity.
“Does it look like I’m laughing?” I asked, giving him a small smile reassuring him that this wasn’t something to be laughing about.
“No, but” he paused, letting out a deep breath trying to find the proper words to describe his predicament at this moment. “I just thought you’d think it was silly.” Taking a step closer to him, I let out a soft chuckle making me look at me in confusion.
“Why would I think that?” I asked, the thought made no sense to me. If anything, my idea of eavesdropping in on their conversation and getting my lace stuck in the hardwood floor was silly.
“Because,” he started out strongly but that soon faded with the next words that had come out of his mouth. “You’re gorgeous, amazing, smart, cute and just all around great. You’re way out of my league.” This time it was my turn to have my jaw practically drop down to the floor as I started at Stiles in shock. Many thoughts had run through my mind and not one of them were a reason for Stiles to even think such a thing, let along feel like I would be some shallow bitch that wouldn’t even shoot a glance his way.
Once getting myself back into reality, I came to see Stiles staring down at his fiddling thumbs probably too embarrassed to even look up at me. Figuring out that Stiles probably would not be kissing me anytime soon, I had decided to take matters into my own hands. Taking a step closer to him, I bowed my head my lips grazing over his it helped a lot more that Stiles stood still instead of frantically jumping away at the bold action. “No,” I paused. Closing my eyes and biting on my lower lip, I placed a hand on Stiles’ chest “You’reout of my league,” were the last words I had said against his lips before placing them gently onto his.
Stiles stood still for a few seconds before he came to realization that our lips were indeed placed together, soon after our lips moved in sync and like those cliché stories, I felt sparks also but saying they were sparks would be an understatement because they were beyond that. My hand remained on his chest, while he slowly, but surely, encircled his arms around my waist bringing up closer than we already were. The hunger in the kiss was so evident; you could smell it from a mile away. I would be lying if I didn’t say I imagine how our first kiss would be like and it was nothing like this, it was better. The butterflies, that I hate with such a passion, flutter all over my stomach and for once in my whole life I didn’t mind them being there. The feeling of just being pressed against his body, the warmth of his skin radiating off him and onto me, made me weak at the knees and I was expecting them to collapse any second now. Throughout my seventeen years of existence, I have not once experience a kiss like this and I was already beginning to love the feeling.
Stiles' tongue glided across my lower lip, asking for entrance. Smiling against his lips, I decided to tease him. "Please," he whispered against my lips. Something as simple as that made me grant him access, his tongue exploring my mouth allowing him to do whatever he pleased. This made it seem like forever, the both of us just standing in the middle of my kitchen just allowing the sparks and butterflies to erupt. Both Stiles and I broke apart, sucking in a breath seeing as though I needed it after what seemed like years of kissing Stiles. My eyes met his beautiful hazel ones, a wide grin spread upon his face. “I think you’re mistaken, Jordan.” Furrowing my eyebrows, I chewed on my bottom lip expecting him to comment on the kiss we shared a few seconds ago but I was completely and utterly wrong when he had said, “I’m not out of your league.”
“Is that so, Stiles?” When he had nodded frantically, his forehead rubbing against mine, I smiled at the cuteness that was radiating off his actions. “Well then you’re wrong because you are out of my league.” A wide smile had made its way onto my face, to a point where I was worried that my cheeks would start to hurt but I didn’t care this moment couldn’t be any better.
“That’s pretty hard to believe,” I could feel his thumbs brushing along the exposed skin my sweatshirt was revealing, it was that or Stiles somehow made his way under the piece of clothing. Knowing Stiles, I would have to go with the second option but it wasn’t like I was opposing against it.
“Why?” Arching my back a little, my forehead left Stiles giving him a concerning face. “Stiles look at you. You’re the perfect guy.” Stiles shook his head not believing a word I had said to him, I cupped his face in my hands the tip of my nose opposite of his. “You’re caring. Sweet. Nice. Smart. Amazing.” A kiss planted on his lips after every reason, which caused a wide grin to appear on his face. “And unbelievably handsome.” After that, I left my lips on his a little longer before pulling back to see Stiles’ face sporting his pink cheeks.
“Isn’t that cute?” I complimented, poking Stiles’ right cheek making his blush even deeper this time. He then grabbed my hand gently, kissing my knuckles softly before intertwining them together. This made my cheeks heat up, the time it was Stiles turn to tease me to no ends.
“Isn’t that cute?” He mocked, wiggling his eyebrows up and down making me let out a howl of laughter.
“Anyways, do you want a drink or something?” I asked, casually looking back at the refrigerator trying to hide the blush that was still painted on my face. Getting out of his grasp, my fingertips grazed the handles before being pulled back into a body. Stiles’ head placed in the crook of my neck, his grip tightening around me.
“No,” he whispered, sending chills down my spine as his breath hit my skin. “I’m fine here.” His hand had now been fully pressed against my back, his thumb drawing continuous circles making me melt in his arms and by the chuckle that made it’s way out of Stiles mouth, I could tell he knew also. He probably didn’t think the little drawings were enough because he planted a small kiss against my neck, making the butterflies erupt again.
“Congrats on your win by the way,” I practically shouted trying to get his mind off teasing me and onto his first game of the season. “That was an amazing shot,” I complimented to which it earned me a peck on the lips.
“Thanks babe,” babe? This made me give it a second thought, throughout the whole time of being together I had not once asked what we were exactly and I still didn’t know. Right now all I could think of is friends, friends with kissing benefits whom so happen to have feelings for one another.
“Babe?” I questioned aloud this time, having Stiles hear me his eyes widened probably thinking that I didn’t like him calling me that but I was thinking the completely opposite, it made me think I was actually someone to Stiles other then just Jordan his friend with kissing benefits.
“I di- We- You-“ He stuttered nervously, his hands leaving my waist and frantically doing hand motions between the two of us, trying to find the right words to explain his thoughts. Letting out a small laugh, he relaxed a little bit realizing that he was making a complete fool out of him self but in al honesty, he looked incredibly cute.
“I like it,” I reassured him making me let out a sigh of relief to my response.
The smile then grew back on his face as he placed both of my hands in his, looking back into my brown eyes. His hazel eyes sparkling with happiness, I couldn’t help but feel special that I was the one that caused that spark. “Well then, Jordan. Will you be my girlfriend?” Who knew that one question would send all my emotions from earlier together within a second but the one that stood out the most was the happiness it was giving me to being even asked it. Instead of answering him instantly, I just stared at our laced fingers with my mouth wide open still in shock that he had asked me to be his girlfriend, though I already knew my answer Stiles didn’t give me the chance to answer before he was practically in a panic worried I would give him the answer he didn’t expect. “Jordan, I was get down on my knees and beg you to give me a chance.” He explained, I opened my mouth but then closed it when Stiles wasn’t done trying to get me to say yes. “I will wrestle a gorilla for you to be mine.” I giggled at how silly he was being, we both knew he wouldn’t wrestle a gorilla but that was a great way for him to convince me even though he didn’t need the convincing.
“Stiles,” I said. He stopped talking, taking deep breaths in and out waiting for me to continue. “You don’t need to do those things,” seeing his face fall I guessed that he had taken what I had said in the wrong way before I said, “I’ll be your girlfriend.”
At that moment everything was perfect, Stiles had grabbed me into a bone-crushing hug. Excitedly he went in for another kiss, this time being way more perfect than the first kiss we had shared because this time I was Stiles Stilinski’s girlfriend.
It was exactly what I needed.
